Game is ok but you only play for half the game.

Yes the full description says you have to pay a second time to unlock everything, but it’s deceptive and cheap. Play the free trials and read the fine print if you want to buy something.

Needs to be updated
HairlessJoe

Like all the other Tank Battle Games this one was launched again with bugs. The good news is the maker is pretty good about correcting and updating the game. Once that problem is overcome, the historical scenarios are decent.

Absolutely awful

It's no secret that hexwar games are a mix of clever design and some of the worlds worst programming. After being thoroughly disgusted by some of their products last year, having found out that several of their maps were simply unwinnable at the more difficult levels, I swore off their products forever. Then I saw this one, and thought, well, maybe they've gotten better. No... They've gotten worse! Usually one of their games has one or two broken levels. In this one, virtually ALL of the levels are unbeatable on even "normal" level. I simply don't understand why this developer doesn't even make an attempt to test their games before releasing them. Apple need to pull all of their products from iTunes until they address this. Game developers have been using beta testers for decades - why can't this developer try it? Just once?

Poor offering

Buggy. Very buggy. Moreover the timed battles do not allow for any real tactical decision making. What's left is a buggy shoot-em-up. Come on Hexwar, you're better than this!

Buggy as usual
Geewhiz1957

As with most Hex games I don't think they test before release. Very buggy. Will not let you progress beyond certain battles. Seriously, there is there no quality control. I guess we get to pay to debug their errors.

Albions revenge

I can beat it but it does not let you advance to the next scenario

Bigger than ever Bugs
Milcomm1267

The game looks great as usual Hex War has a great idea , great graphics and the worst programming on the planet. Of all the games from the company this has more bugs than Most all others combines. Do not buy until they fix this mess. I wish they would learn what Beta Testing is!

Fix the Bugs
Volksaddict

Update 8/8 - Bugs are still not fixed. Soviet campaign hangs up on scenario 3. I love Hex War games. I've spent more money on them over the last few years than any other developer and have generally bought them as soon as they come out. The bugs in this one however are over the top leaving several scenarios unplayable and at least one that I've been able to find unable to complete because the game gets hung on the enemy playing and never reverts back to the player. I'm disappointed. Hold off on buying this one until balance and bugs are fixed.

Bugs! At least two scenarios either lock up or give me a defeat when I win. Love your games normally but this one is sub par

Well Done, like all their tank games
Duncan ok

I have ALL OF THEM. Tank Battle 1944, all the eastern front ones. Normandy, TB pacific. I like them all, particularly Normandy and Pacific, because of the amphibious landings. I have NOT liked some of the other, non WW2 ones, but if you want a game that reminds you of the old Avalon Hill hex board games from the 60's, you'll like any of the HexWar tank games.
