This app pays for you to attend some events but later when you try to withdraw the money a troubleshooting error message will appear stating there was an issue with the transfer and to contact paypal. I’ve received payments else were from paypal and have had no issue. Surkus should really check their pay out forms.

I used this app to get tickets to Ozy Fest in NYC and it was an awful bait & switch experience. First, their email communication was delayed, so it was unclear if I actually had tickets or not, then when we were told to look out for a second confirmation email, one of them didn’t even arrive that confirmed where will call was located in Central Park. Then today, a friend who got there before me, said all Surkus ticket holders were turned away due to a misunderstanding of value capacity. They had provided a phone number to text the day of, but no communication had been disseminated that Surkus ticket holders would be turned away. I only got that confirmation by texting the contact. Don’t download this app!

I can’t see my booker events anymore nor am I able to decline an event. The app used to work just fine but not anymore.

Say you have another job and you’re unable to respond to EVERY single invite in time, I don’t think it’s fair to lower your member rating.

I like to use this app sometimes even though they are usually paying 5-7 times less for parties than promoters. But the bad thing is you can build your member rating for a long time and get that VIP status but if you won’t respond for 2 invitations it will drop so significantly that you will need to build it for a long time again. I understand drop when you “nonshow” but for not responding it doesn’t feel right. Sometimes I don’t use the app for a month or more and after that I’m usually with so low rating that I cannot get any good invitations. If they won’t drop rating for “not responding “ I’ll give them 4 stars.

It’s a waste of your time. Don’t download it until they get their act together. - Nothing is technically wrong with the app tech wise. - Basically you check off if you will or will not attend an event they list. Then you arrive and check back into the app that you are there. A supposed perk of the app is access to events and sometimes an open bar. Three out of the four times my friends and I have used this app and gone to the events no one there has ever heard of the app and would not honor the offer the app claimed to have gotten us. So we wait in line at a club in nyc called up&down. If you’re a girl, you know it takes a while to get ready and get you’re group of friends organized to go out late at night. We wait in line and around 1 am get in. The app claimed to get us drinks once inside but since no one at the club knew about this app and no one from the app company showed up we couldn’t get the drinks, so we left. Second event, we said in the app we would go to ozy fest. The app is pretentious because have to get accepted probably based on appearance to get into some of the events. So we get accepted in the app and go to the festival. Again show up wait in line, just to discover hours later that they would not honor the apps tickets the app company supposedly secured for us. This app is just using your data and selling it to third companies is my guess. Every event we have tried to go to from the app has been a major let down. The branding is horrible cause no one knows of them once you attend therefore don’t really get anything once attend if you’re even let in. It’s embarrassing to ask everyone at the club about it and be affiliated with this app with poor partnership affiliates and management. (*disclaimer - this review is my opinion and is based on my personal interaction and experiences using the app) I sincerely hope they improve their partnerships and branding, it’s a great concept just needs more follow through.
