Update

Pikuko

Before update 4.0 the app was buggy and it took some time to load but at least it opened. Now it doesn’t even open. This is my third review and Developer keep saying please email us and reach us over the phone; when I do so and give them the logs all I get in response is “ It’s an Apple Issue that we are working with them to correct” or I get the typical everything seems fine. ***UPDATE*** After working several weeks with the lead customer support team they were able to identify the issue that I was having with the constant disconnection and not been able to access any of the websites. Once I have tested for several weeks and everything works well it could be a 5 start app. The customer support have been great and constantly checking on the issues.

60% of the time it works all the time.

It does a decent job when it comes to accessing websites where you need to retrieve information (BOL, NSIPS, etc). On the other hand if you need to knock out some GMT on the road, this app is not for you. It will not open the additional windows needed to even start the e learning training. Hoping they will fix this in the near future, since my iPad is my laptop.

iOS and Office 365...not working

cbtri3

This app was great, minus a few hiccups, until the switch to Office 365 was made. The plan was in the works for a while in the military but this company didn’t seem to plan for the change. You can no longer read/write encrypt any message. - No notification to customers - App for Office 365 is clunky and wastes your time - Almost impossible to use on a phone - All around terrible now Until they fix the compatibility don’t waste your money if you need it for an iOS device. The website now is misleading, as of 9 Feb, the second bullet that states “Sign, encrypt, decrypt email with zero-data-at-rest on the device” is not true. You can’t encrypt/decrypt. I have a Thursby Card reader for sale for $.01 contact me at..... ——————————Update 23 Feb I reached out to support the same day I wrote this review on 9 Feb. I used your chat function from the website. I described the issues and the person offered no solution. I use the link provided in the App for office 365. I can access some other websites, however webmail is a waste of time. Every single message that has been encrypted shows, “this message has no content”. I used the word Clunky to describe accessing Office 365. I know it’s just office 365 because every other website I can get to responds much faster. Still disappointed and CAN NOT recommend for anyone who wants to access Office 365 email.

So far so good

Can’t complain....yet. It did what I needed to do on both my iOS devices.

Office 365 OWA

JeyFair

App is pretty much useless without the support of OWA 365 migration.

No longer compatible with OWA

Lizell76

I’ve had my Thursby reader for a few years now and loved it until recently. It was great for traveling and allowed me to work off of my iPad vs taking a laptop with me, however since the recent Office 365 email migration, it’s usefulness has dropped to almost zero. I’m able to get in and see email (although)very slowly and choppy, however I receive a “security violation attempt” message and then am unable to move around my mail. Reading other reviews this seems to be a common issue that will hopefully get fixed very soon. I very close to just going back to a corded reader and laptop.

No s/mime support

bfgutie

Useless without s/mime support. iPhone/mobile format not found.

Not getting money's worth

Amp45

$150 is a steep price for comfort. All of which I am (and did) pay for. But the app only works with email. I understand a beta is out and being tested but there needs to be more consistent updates for the software. Seriously, my co workers ask me all the time how much the reader cost and I hesitate to tell them because I can't even access all CAC enabled websites. Frustrated...

Unreliable at best

dcrabtrey

Absolutely terrible. Works at best 5% of the time with an iPad Pro 9.7 or iPhone 6+ if I run it through a VPN. Will not work in Honduras.

Best update!

Deceptive practices

Thursby managed to bring the impossible with this update - encrypted emails on a mobile device! I updated and tested it out...works great.
