I use this app for webmail, and so far its been pretty bad. Most websites I can log on with my smart card with no issues, but webmail always seems to crash constantly. After a few crashes, I’m done and will be returning my card reader. I guess I’ll stick to Windows laptops for now until this gets improved.
I just received my Thursby CAC Reader a few days ago. I downloaded the Sub Rosa app and it was pretty much plug and play. So far I have completed DTS authorizations and vouchers. Used OWA and was able to read/write/send emails without any issues using my cellular data. I have accessed multiple websites requiring CAC login with no break or delay. This is very handy CAC reader and app for those frequently in a TAD/TDY status. It definitely reduces clutter and is useful in a bind.
I have tried sub Rosa a few times and about 30% it works. It is not dependable and as of the past few days Sub Rosa has not been able to sign into email as the error is always the same “cannot establish secure connection”. It has been so frustrating I think I just may have to go back to MS.
This app used to work at least for what I needed. Now it fails to read my authentication cert that I need to access everything. Even toggling the enable dual persona option does nothing. This needs to be fixed immediately!
I use the app with my Thursby IOS CAC card reader and provides me reliable access to my mail, calendar, Defense Travel System and other .gov / .mil sites.
This app and the card reader are amazing. I don’t work on base so I always had to lug around a laptop and an accompanying card reader until now. I eventually bought an otter box case, cut the plastic off around the lightning port and now t works seamlessly. (Card reader won’t fit if my iPhone 7 Plus is in a case). Now, I can check DTS, AIM, and mail.mil anywhere! I love it. No more computers for me. At least, unless I need to file a voucher.
DTS receives an error when I try to log in.
