Best game I’ve played!

ChazyDearing

I usually never write reviews unless a game is trash. But for this, I just felt compelled to write about how amazing this game looks and plays! For starts, the artwork in the game is amazing! That’s a huge selling point for me in any game. I love the card-style gameplay as well and having unique factions for special cards you can play and go up against. The leveling system is very fun and challenging! Setting up your deck is a very fun process as well and really makes you think about how you should go into a match. The daily challenges are a super good way to make you switch up your style and make you keep coming back to the game every day. I would recommend this game to anyone who is just looking for a casual game to play but still having a challenge aspect to it. Thanks to the devs! You rock!

Awesome! Ideal mobile game.

I haven't enjoyed a mobile game so much in a long time. It is so polished and well-designed in terms of gameplay, graphics and balance. I've been playing for over 2 months now. It is much better than many other popular card games in my opinion, and I've tried most. You can play as casually or as hardcore as you want. Daily quests to progress can be done in 20-30 minutes, then you can play as much as you want. It has some aggressive in-app purchases, but it is perfectly possible to play and progress without spending anything. On my 4th day, I progressed faster than I expected, and I was often winning against many paying players of levels higher than me. It is quite easy to learn; the number of cards and types of decks you see are not overwhelming. You easily learn what most of the cards do, and what key strategies are, by just playing and observing what your opponents do. Although it is easy to get into, there is quite a bit of depth to it. If you are serious and make some effort, you keep improving your play, even with the same level of deck. You can devise creative strategies with the stronger cards you already have, which is great since I love deck-building. Even though I hate ads and I delete any game that forces me to watch ads, the usage of ads in Stormbound is exemplary. They don't disturb me at all, and I watch a few of them voluntarily everyday. One issue I don't like is that the daily rewards you get are quite low. You do not earn any coins after 15 wins. Increasing what you can earn per day would incentivize players who want to play longer everyday. I don't think this would impact the income to developers neither. Players who want to progress faster would still be willing to pay for it. The game would also benefit from a larger playerbase, coming from these incentives to progress. Otherwise, I believe some players might be leaving after playing for 1-2 weeks, feeling that they are not progressing much after some point, even though they can still play competitively with what they have. All in all, good job and thanks to developers!

Glitches

VMP74

Was a fun game, but there seems to be a lot of issues with the animations and timing of game play. When I turn off the Max Quality in the settings it takes longer for the animations to allow me to put down my next card. Also, it seems like the timer is messed up and it sometimes passes me without giving me more than a second. More than once I’ve seen the game play the opponents card more than once. This happened with the Obsidian butcher and Mech Workshop. Something that might improve game play would be allowing players to draw a different card during the opponents turn. I think this would also speed up gameplay.

Incredibly adaptive, like a future apocalyptic chess.

Unhappy goober

I dont like to play games with boards and cards like this one.. but i like this one. It’s fun.

Badly made

aeriously?

Glitchy and buggy mess, tried to play again after a long time, still too tedious to have to slog through

Great game

Great way to past time

Pay to win, unless you want to grind for hours

Seems fun at first, then you meet players who bought their way to higher ranks. No matter how good your deck is, if the enemy player has higher level cards than you, you will lose

Good game, disappointing monitization

Bomackin

The game play and strategy is great. The graphics are good. What could possibly make this go wrong? Over. Powered. Premium. Cards. I played a good 40 or so games, and over all enjoyed it, I had some issues with balance and the fact you could pay to level cards to have an edge, but it was alright, not too bad. Then I came to see what the “collector” was. The current premium card seemingly only obtainable in the $100 card pack. It’s literally broken. And the only way to get it is $100. Again over all a good game, disappointing to see another game ruined by pushing its monetization too far.
