Awesome! Ideal mobile game. – Stormbound Review

I haven't enjoyed a mobile game so much in a long time. It is so polished and well-designed in terms of gameplay, graphics and balance. I've been playing for over 2 months now. It is much better than many other popular card games in my opinion, and I've tried most. You can play as casually or as hardcore as you want. Daily quests to progress can be done in 20-30 minutes, then you can play as much as you want. It has some aggressive in-app purchases, but it is perfectly possible to play and progress without spending anything. On my 4th day, I progressed faster than I expected, and I was often winning against many paying players of levels higher than me. It is quite easy to learn; the number of cards and types of decks you see are not overwhelming. You easily learn what most of the cards do, and what key strategies are, by just playing and observing what your opponents do. Although it is easy to get into, there is quite a bit of depth to it. If you are serious and make some effort, you keep improving your play, even with the same level of deck. You can devise creative strategies with the stronger cards you already have, which is great since I love deck-building. Even though I hate ads and I delete any game that forces me to watch ads, the usage of ads in Stormbound is exemplary. They don't disturb me at all, and I watch a few of them voluntarily everyday. One issue I don't like is that the daily rewards you get are quite low. You do not earn any coins after 15 wins. Increasing what you can earn per day would incentivize players who want to play longer everyday. I don't think this would impact the income to developers neither. Players who want to progress faster would still be willing to pay for it. The game would also benefit from a larger playerbase, coming from these incentives to progress. Otherwise, I believe some players might be leaving after playing for 1-2 weeks, feeling that they are not progressing much after some point, even though they can still play competitively with what they have. All in all, good job and thanks to developers!
