With 20 years of MTG experience as well as a dozen other strategy card games, I have so many good things to say about this game. The strategy, gameplay, mechanics, graphics and collection building are all incredibly well done. They’re unique, refreshing, and interesting. But there is a progression mechanic built into the game that increases the power of your cards with your duplicates and since you can of course buy cards instead of grinding them, you can actually be beat by the same exact cards but powered up versions. Imagine in magic playing against an opponent whose Lightning Bolts dealt 4 damage because they paid a premium for them. This game hs incredible promise and I would happily pay to play it, but unfortunately it’s a pay to win “competitive” game. Truly a travesty

There’s no report option, and they give you like five minutes to take a turn, meaning that people can and do delay the game wasting your time and nobody can or will do anything about it. This is a load of crap.

Your card caps are terrible. Silver league should be four. Gold should be five. Your changes negate everyone’s hard work. Especially long time players. If you respond give me REAL feedback.

I’ve been playing this game for years, it’s a great game. But I just cannot. Deal. With. The. Slow. Freaking. Transitions. And. Animations. After. Each. And. every. Fight. And. On. Top. Of.. that.. you. Also..have.. to.. tap.. but. It. Doesn’t. Tell. You. When. The.. animation. Ends.. so. You. Find.. yourself. Tapping.. and. Tapping. And tapping.. til.. something. On. The. Screen.. changes.. It’s the worst thing ever invented. Sliced bread’s polar opposite.

Its a fun game however i will say that some cards are a bit unbalanced and the further you go in the rankings the more p2w people there are who buy the best card decks and max them out which completely takes all the fun out of it.

I downloaded this game back in 2017 and thought it was the best game ever. They update cards, and come out with new cards, which is cool. But I’m very frustrated because of this “balance”. I can’t pass a rank that I used to be able to get through before. Not that it was a breeze before but I had some fun, challenging games but it’s like now I can’t pass and I’m stuck in the same rank literally always. There’s no progression. I thought the whole point was to get to a high rank and the higher the rank the more challenging it would get. Yet here we are at a pretty low rank. Like what’s the point of having level 4 or 5 cards if I have to use level 3. And the only time I can use my cards is when I’m in a brawl or challenging a friend, but that doesn’t mean I can rank up. I think it just defeats the purpose.

This was one of my most consistent games, played for years, love it, have lots of 4 and 5 level cards. The last Update nerfed this game. Previously I was regularly finishing the season in the Emerald league, now I’m struggling to move past silver level 5. Just makes me not even care to play anymore. One update changed the dynamics massively. Too bad. And if the developers do it once, theyll probably do it again. Does not seem worth putting time into, when the next update may bring another massive change.

SKILL TRIUMPHS OVER CASH: after the most recent update, the devs have gone above and beyond and made fixes to matchmaking that makes this game more like chess than just your average card game. In addition to an awesome and rewarding draft system, Stormbound is a breath of fresh air for tcg players looking for new and interesting mechanics. Sadly, it appears that with this update has come a plague of bots in ranked losing on purpose to max out quest rewards. I suspect these are people selling these bot accounts to new players, which is super gross and defeats the point of a game where you collect cards. Hopefully something will be done about this soon

I got this game years ago on a random whim and I have keeps it up for years now. I even got some of my friends to play the game and they still play intermittently after years as well. The only issue with this game is how long it takes to level up your cards. I have had the game for years and don’t have a single level 4. With that said I don’t grind every day but it still is a little annoying. They do give you more gold per win then you used to get (up from 5 to 10) but it is still very slow. Another gripe is that because of faction restrictions in is very difficult to combine class based cards like dragons, cats or elders into decks that synergise. Some classes just don’t work at all for certain factions if you want a deck that actually wins games. If they added more cards from each class into each faction and made it easier to get cards the game would be reaching perfection. Oh also they just made it take longer to climb the ranked latter which is super annoying. It already took long enough since some even matchups can make games last upwards of 30 minutes. Bring the original wining streak bonuses back pleas.
