Cannot Log in with Facebook

I use Facebook to log in to my Spotify account. Since that is not an option in this app, I cannot use it.

Let me just start off by saying, this app could be great. There is no way to create playlists, shuffle or do pretty much anything. I downloaded this for my daughter so that she could have a safe place to explore music and build playlists, we deleted it a day after downloading. Clearly meant for three to five year old children.

Literally does not support Facebook login

I got advertised to download this from the classic Spotify app - where they know I log in via Facebook - and this app does not even support Facebook login yet, only email/password login. Meaning: I can do absolutely nothing with this app even though I’m a paying customer. This half baked approach screams of releasing something on too tight of a deadline. I feel bad for the team who surely did not want to do this. This is no simple omission. They must be under some tremendous pressure to choose to release something that is so unfinished. Execs: you aren’t trimming the fat here, you are cutting into the meat. Look at this choice you’ve made. This is surely endemic in other poor choices you are making even now. Move toward quality. This damages my entire perception of Spotify which I’m otherwise happy with.

No playlists

Thought this would be good for separating the playlists we play for our little toddler (fun, bedtime, etc.), so the kiddie songs don’t mess up our recommendations. But with no playlists it’s useless for that purpose. Update 4/7 to developer’s response: Thanks for the response. I did see that I can “heart” songs to add them to a favorites list. However, this doesn’t help because we have multiple playlists (fun, bedtime, etc.). Plus, the fact that it automatically downloads favorited songs was actually a negative for me. I don’t want songs taking up space on my device when I can just stream them. That said, added a star as a thanks for responding to my feedback :)

Not What I Was Hoping For

I’ve been looking for a “safe” way to get my kids their own access to music, so I was stoked to see this pop up. It’s basically just a really poorly curated subset of the Spotify library with kid-friendly UX. A better solution would be to only allow kids to see what their parents give them access to. I don’t want Spotify marketing Billie Eilish singing about being a “seduce your dad type” to my 9 year old. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the UI is well done. UPDATE: The developer’s canned response linking to a generic support page where it’s not clear where to actually put the feedback isn’t helpful.

Can’t log in with fb

So we are a premium family account who is logged in with Facebook. Can’t log into this app because there’s no Facebook option. Unable to review. Hope this can get fixed. Also I don’t want to change all of my Spotify set up/log in just to be able to log into this. Develop it to where we can use our fb or link from our premium account. Thanks!

Absolutely horrible. :Edit: This is my response to your response ? I think you could improve your app by making The age limit 5 and UNDER, that way overprotective parents (like mine) won’t get this app for their 15 year olds. Also I think that you should be able to make playlists. Last but not least I think that you should be able to remove songs that you dislike.

Hi I’m Karen my son wanted to listen to music but Spotify has mean words so we got Spotify kids I thought there was no mean words in this but being the Christian mom I am I was surprised when gods name was used I need to speak to your manager.

And we don’t pay for Spotify because we have better things to pay for. Her 11 and under restrictions are very... Snippy. Don’t download without a Spotify account. One star is a little rude for something I haven’t even gotten to use yet, so I added a couple of stars :)

No Facebook Login integration?

I can’t login because it doesn’t seem to support Facebook login which is how I login to my regular Spotify Premium account.
