So much hope...so many failures

SFBCBA

I have hoped for a way to separate my child’s music from mine for years so that it will stop ruining all the algorithms in my account. I was so excited about this app! Alas, it is horrible. No way to move the playlists we’ve spent years creating. No access to lots of music he loves that is family-friendly just because it’s not “kids” music ?. And no way to cast to a Sonos or Alexa make this pretty useless. Time to look for a new way to stream...

Missing Spotify Connect and podcasts.

Needs Spotify Connect to work with Sonos and my existing audio setup. Would also love kids podcasts too. Thanks!

Can’t login with Facebook account

Wen1217

I downloaded this hoping it was going to ve great for mu daughter but my login is with Facebook and doesn’t have an option. Only with email and password. Hope they fix that soon.

Doesn’t work!

Jen2S

It prompts me to sign in using my premium acct credentials and I keep getting an error message stating my login info is incorrect. Everything I’ve typed in is correct.

No way to login with facebook.

Clairaudio

No ability to sign in with my facebook account. As a parent and previous family premium plan holder my login information is through facebook. I try to enter my Facebook details in order to create a kids account as instructed and it says my info is incorrect but there is also no login with facebook button. So basically I can’t get in to the app to make the kids account and can’t get past the login page. Sends me in circles.

Too early to rate

Sonos Please

Please add ability to play on Sonos devices.

Potential

It is a great idea, but I was pretty disappointed that I can’t connect to my Alexa speakers. That makes the app completely useless to me. As others said it would be nice to be able to create playlists too. I’m keeping my app in hopes that some updates come out after they read reviews.

A far stretch from what it should be

Bruack

So many features are missing. No support for playlists, no shuffling favorite, no chromecast support (at least on iOS version), and it uses up a full family member slot. For now I’ll delete this, and just back to using the account I set up for my daughter and son in regular Spotify.

Great start! Needs to be more customizable.

First of all, for those of you who have linked their Facebook accounts- you will need to go into your account and ‘set device password’. After you have done that you will be able to log in. You will have to do this from a browser and not the Spotify app. (As far as I know) Ok, on to the review: My kids LOVE their little characters. The set up of this app is a great start. There are just a few things that I need to make it usable. My kids go to sleep with playlists from my husband and I’s Spotify (on google home and echo dot) so when they’re listening we can’t. It also messes with our recommendations and recently played. I would love to be able to link their accounts to those devices! Then our accounts could each be our own. Currently they can’t make their own playlists on their accounts. That would be a great option also. Especially for what we use it for. But the ‘favorites’ option is a great start. We just need a separate playlist for playing and one for going to sleep (2 different types of music! :) I would like to be able to choose which music my kids can have access to. A lot of Christian hip hop and pop artists are not found in the kids app meanwhile Justin Bieber, The Chainsmokers, Ariana Grande, etc are. There are artists I do not want my kids listening to on the kids app and artists I’m okay with them listening to not included. Thanks for all of your hard work on this app! It’s a great start!
