Not reporting download speed accurately

Toboknock

I have 100Mbps speed from optimum online. I’m using an iPhone 6s and it only reports ~ 50Mbps down. If I visit another speed test provider via Safari it reports 100Mbps down as provided by my ISP. If I visit your website on my MacBook it reports 100Mbps down accurately. I’ve isolated it to the app on this phone. I’ve reset the network settings on the iPhone but it hasn’t helped. I’m curious as to why this isn’t reporting correctly on this iPhone.

Remove Ads

Richiegigabit

The app has a feature to remove ads which I have done in the past. Currently I have not been able to restore previously purchased ad removal.

Inconsistent with web version

I like the app for keeping track of results over time. Unfortunately I'm seeing speeds in the app that are about half of what I get if I load speedtest.net in a browser on the same device. The higher speed agrees with other devices on the same network, so I believe the app is incorrect.

Doesn’t. Work.

Robbob92

I downloaded because you can’t use it through the browser anymore. I thought “why not?”. Since I use it all the time I might as well get an app. Every time I try to test I get the message “Latency test failed.” I deleted and redownloaded. I got the same message over and over. Your app doesn’t work and you don’t let people use it in browser anymore. Thanks for the big middle finger in my face.

Great app, please add this...

Please add the feature to log into your account. Just like on Speedtest.net This would be great! Otherwise, great app!

Impossible to select custom server

Darin....

Overall the app works ok but it’s incredibly frustrating that you can’t search for a specific server to do a speed test from. The option for selecting a custom server just shows nearby servers and expands the radius as you keep scrolling. You can’t search for a specific country or city. So if you’re in Asia and want to test your connection speed to San Francisco it’s not possible unless you scroll through hundreds and hundreds of physically closer servers until your radius is wide enough.

Where’s the support for iPhone X.

Download speed incorrect. Not faster than 50M

loben10

This app has a 50M limit on my iPhone and iPad. But can reach 300M on upload speed. False information.

I’m glad there is an app for my mobile devices. Have used Ookla for a long time. Reliable and well made.
