Best tracking app

KansasFlamingo

I’ve used this app for years - I’ve tried other food tracking apps but always come back to Spark People. It’s easy to track calories and fitness. I have a Garmin and it automatically syncs (I had trouble with other apps).

Apps

I have found the apps easy to use & very informative

Love SparkPeople!

This is the best app for fitness and weight loss. Even the free version is loaded with features!

Keeps crashing after adding food

Wkff

I’m guessing but it seems like the ads crash the app after I add food

Demands too rapid weight loss

Frustrated22xxx

I’m looking for an alternative to LoseIt, which has made changes that really hurt. SparkPeople isn’t workable because the slowest possible weight loss target is a pound a week. That’s too fast for me (and for my cardiologist). I’d lost almost 30 pounds at half a pound a week. I can do that, and it builds a sustainable lifestyle change. A full pound a week is too much.

Broken on 8+

Veronica Anne W.

Cannot sign in with fb on my new iPhone 8+ after setting it up today. Website works but mobile app keeps saying I’ve logged in previously and then I click continue and it basically takes me back to the sign in page and stays there over and over and over. And they actually ask us to pay for this?

Good tools but too many ads

RedSamIAm

I have used Spark People off and on for years. I started using it again recently and was disappointed in the frequency of ads. I understand they are needed to generate revenue, however, the frequency of the ads takes away from the simplicity of the diet tools.

Good choices stored

I like that meals are stored so it’s easy to track repeats and that there is a great selection of every kind of food to choose from to keep your calories counted. Now if I would jut stay motivated to track I’d be in heaven.

Great but slow

I love this app! I’ve compared it to fitness pal, lose it, and my plate and this one is by far my favorite. It gives the most information and great options like the recipe builder, copy foods from one day to another, and the ability to group together your favorite foods. I love how easy it is to see your macros and micronutrients for everything you eat, as well as the ease of linking the app to calories burned on your fit bit or Apple Watch. However, lately I’ve been frustrated with how long the app takes to “think” every time you input a food or switch to a different feature. I can upload my meals in a fraction of the time on other apps and because of this I am sadly moving on. I hope spark can improve the speed of the app. If so, I’ll come back to using it in a heartbeat. But for now, I’m moving on to an app that doesn’t take me ten minutes to input a single meal.
