Unnecessary security

JustBeMe

Cumbersome and unnecessary security in my opinion. If I want to share my solar info it should be an option. The interface is also primitive given that I just spent $20,000 on the system. Hopefully it improves in the future.

App is worthless

kevdog58

The data reported by this app is consistently wrong. If anyone from this company is actually interested, I would be happy to go over my results with you.

App is OK

jernj

The data and format are nice so I appreciate the app. However, the updates are sporadic which seems ridiculous given it’s tracked and monitored real time. Would be a more useful product if updates came at the top of the hour or something similar.

Great idea

Cheapwatkins

This does not work as I was told it was. Does not tell me what the individual panels produce. Just hard to understand.

SE display system

BlankMan-haha

It’s an ok app, on my app I can’t see my consumption just my production. I also don’t like that it’s only updates every 4 to 5 hours.

Works well and intuitive

Icebark

Great tool for monitoring solar production in real time.

Good...could be great

Someprofessor

Map view is weaker. Less intuitive and friendly. Yet cool. Overall app is really appreciated as a new owner. Sad for anyone who bought a system but which has no app.

Basic Tool But Not Ideal

WarGamer411

Having used the SunPower app in my previous home I can say that the Solar Edge app is lacking in a significant way. The Solar Edge app does not display actual usage information from PG&E. Therefore, you cannot easily compare usage against solar energy generation. This is a huge gap in capability, and leaves users with only half of the information needed to make smart energy decisions. If SunPower can figure it out the Solar Edge team needs to do the same.

Great app

It is neat to be able to see your solar gain daily and even weekly, etc. Even has helped me start to conserve on cloudy rainy days, I can see that I am not producing much so I turn off some of those lights I normally just left on. It makes you think about how much you use. Love it.

It could be better. More numbers less graphs.
