Useless

kencj

Some of the reviews said that this app might be useful for determining if you have sleep apnea. It absolutely isn’t, unless you want to spend several hours listening to a recording of your breathing and hoping to catch the moment when you might have apnea. This app does absolutely nothing to help you find it. All it gives you as a very pretty graph showing the times that you snore and exactly how loudly you snore. How that specific information is useful to anyone I can’t imagine.

Not accurate

CloverNic77

This app incorrectly labels sounds as loud snoring. I sleep with an air purifier, and the app picks up the sound as snoring when I’m fact it is quiet. Also mild snoring is sometimes labeled as loud. Would be more helpful if it could distinguish between my air purifier and my snoring.

Problem with recording fan noise

ajhqt

I really like this app, but it registers my fan as light snoring all night long and elevates my snore score. Even when I remove all the fan noise from the samples, left with one or two light snoring, my score is hardly changed and the diagram shows “light” snoring all night which is in fact fan. Seems a steady consistent noise occurring all night would be simple to remove when calculating snoring.

Poor accuracy

Eggiers

If you use this app for a long time and also listen to many recordings of your snoring you will realize the algorithm is weak. Many times just breathing a little loud is marked as snoring and sometimes some really vigorous snores do not get marked very highly. Sure, it differentiates between a lot of very hard snoring (snore score > 50 or so) and very little snoring (snore score < 15 or so) but that’s essentially it. If you are in the middle, the snore score is not reproducible. In other words it is inconsistent. In still other words, not useful. Bummer.

No longer able to curate audio events

Javenu

The latest update doesn’t allow you to set an audio event as “not snoring” from the main waveform overview. Instead, you have to go thru a list of 374 recorded audio events on a separate screen, one by one, which is painstaking and entirely impractical. Now I can’t remove false positives, for instance when I move around in bed or get up at night. Without the curation, my snore score is no longer accurate. Thanks for degrading the functionality of your #1 tool. It was working fine before the latest update. Also, now when I press stop on the audio from the main page, it closes the audio view and I lose my place in the 8 hour waveform. In order to return to where I was, I have to hunt and peck in the waveform to find out where I was. This is frustrating and impractical. The app was working fine, why was it changed to make it unusable?

A good app

Tekatha

This is a really good app but would be a lot better if I understood what each variation in the line/sounds mean. The app picks up everything! From a rumbling stomach to a cat meowing outside the window, but other than the obvious cough, throat clearing, etc., I don’t understand the other variations in the lines.

Hmmm....

TommyLa

Ironic; learned of this app after I bought a mouthpiece from a big name company. I faithfully recorded for 12 nights, had minimal improvement after I learned to list ‘sleep factors’, and choosing a mouthpiece. As I looked at the various sleep factors last night, I discovered the product I am using, listed by its brand name. Naturally I chose it! Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning with a ‘Sleep Score’ of 7!!! The problem with this score is my average prior to last night, has been 27!!! Ironic I went to virtually no snoring after I selected the brand name.

Family sharing?

Rutvegas

For an app that is supposed to support family sharing, one of my family members could not get it without having to pay for it after I had already bought a subscription.

Helpful App

This app has helped me a lot, figuring out what makes me snore! I have been making changes and the score us slowly going down! Really thankful for this app!

Works great until developer tries to extort you by locking the app at your bedtime. Granted it was locked for 5 hours. But just when you were going to use it and it’s pay up or don’t use it.
