Slice is loveable, everyone likes it, and it never lets you down. All ordering apps should be this good.

“Delivery Tips” go to slice, not driver

Was very happy with this app, found a terrific pizza joint through it. I always tip generously, but after several deliveries I noticed a theme of discontent from every driver, regardless of the restaurant. Finally, a driver informed me that the “delivery tip” option online goes entirely to Slice… on top of the clearly stated fee Slice already takes. I called the restaurant, spoke with the owner, and they verified that Slice had provided a nice bump in business, but was wrecking havoc on the profits of the drivers. I am still very pleased with Slice as a business model, and the app runs great. But I very much do not appreciate my money landing in unintended hands, and having a tip for Slice labeled as “delivery tips” approaches a line of intentional misdirection.

With this app, a medium pizza at my local place 5 minutes away was $30 with service and delivery fees. They’re just making money off those too lazy to phone in the order

Twice in a row I have ordered from slice (after putting in many past orders) where the delivery driver has completely screwed up my order. The first time, they didn’t even knock on my door and my pizza sat outside for 20 minutes. The second time, the driver delivered to the wrong address. The customer support line just gives you the “sorry but there is nothing we can do” when you complain. Trash service!

I used this app to order pizza from my favorite place and had it delivered to another address I was at that day. They delivered the pizza to my home address instead despite my order showing a different address. This happened twice. As for the second time, it took nearly two hours to have it delivered to the wrong address. Slice’s customer service was poor at best as they relied on me to intervene and call the merchant. I believe they offered me a few dollars off my next order. From now on I’ll be calling local pizza shop directly and eliminate the middleman.

They state that you earn points for every $15 you order-best of luck getting ANY points. My first order was $45-I contacted customer service and they danced around and refused to adequately say anything other than-you need to acquire 8 points to use them. Which I understand BUT the catch is they don’t give you points so you’ll NEVER get to 8. I love our local pizzeria and I’ll continue using them but I’ll drive there-this app simply steals from local businesses and scans the customers. No thank you.
