I own Apple devices, but Skype is Best. Period.

I'm always telling everyone about how wonderful Apple devices are, and I have F2 using FaceTime for a couple of years I find myself relying on Skype more and more lately and I'll tell you why... First when it comes to the audio quality both are great. When it comes to calls completed and calls that get disconnected Skype wins. Furthermore, I can toggle the speakerphone on and off during a call. You can't do that on face time. Another thing, I can tap on the small video screen in the corner which allows me the ability to see in full-screen, the viewfinder of the video I am sending to the person I am talking to. This is most helpful when I want to see what I am showing via video in full screen. Wow, it is such a great help. On FaceTime, all I see is a small screen in screen- end it is very difficult to see what the person on the other end of the call is seeing. Lastly, actually two more points, let me point out that Skype is cross-platform, which means I can make video calls with high definition audio and video much like I was used to with FaceTime without the limitation of only being able to do so with fellow iOS and Mac users. My final point, is that Skype can provide a phone number For incoming and outgoing calls. This is a feature that I have tested however the pricing is extremely high therefore I never use this feature but perhaps in the future the pricing will become more attractive, but in reality I have enough phone numbers already and I don't personally see any strong argument for using a Skype phone number unless of course the quality were so much more superior than any other calling methods that I already have available to me. As much as I love Apple the truth be told I'll be using Skype more and more and FaceTime less and less-at least until FaceTime improves in its areas of weakness that I described above.

Will log you out no matter what

I've had skype for many years and never had any problems with it until now. It keeps logging me out every time I leave the app! Super infuriating, especially with how much I use Skype. Please fix this.

It's always lagging and I have to keep closing and reopening to see my recent conversations if I download it on a different device. Plus, I also have to wait forever for my friends' statuses to load. Quality isn't that great.
Great call quality when calling a phone but app needs polish

It's an annoyance to sign in, and the ui needs to be more fluid. But love the call quality even on weak wifi (but I use it only to call cellphones or landlines)

I love Skype but I wish you could send videos from your camera roll instead of only getting an option to send video messages. The video message is a great idea and I use it but it would be useful to me to send videos from the camera roll.
Can't sign in

I can't even sign into the skype app. I had to make 3 new email accounts to finally log in successfully on my Mac. Now I can't log on from my phone. So frustrated with Skype!
