Skype

We use Skype at my office a lot, so I downloaded it on my phone so I could always be reached by my coworkers without having to drag my laptop to meetings all the time. It worked great for a little while, now every time I open the app it immediately crashes. I’ve deleted and reinstalled 4 times. It works again when I initially sign in, but once I leave the app and try to go back in later, it crashes again. Everyone in my department is having the same issue with their app as well.

The interface is silly, looks like a child's toy. It's difficult to find simple buttons that were right on screen previously. The "cards" or whatever they're called are absolutely obnoxious. I really don't care what color my chat text is. The Bluetooth handsfree in vehicle is no longer working for my late model truck. They have utterly ruined Skype, and my coworkers are now searching for an alternative. Very poor app changes. Update Nov 2017: Forcing users to have Cortana stuck on their contact list is even more bad mojo. Dropping rating due to this. We can disable and hide it on Windows, why is it forced on us on iOS? Are you trying to compete with Siri that badly?

April 29, 2017 It never stalls for me or says reconnecting. Unlike FaceTime, I never get my calls interrupted and I like how you can talk to more than 1 person at a time. Great app overall. December 1, 2017 Skype no longer works for me and it always says failed to connect whenever I try to sign in. Therefore, this is now a one star for me.

Really the app is so much laggy i wished i could uninstall and reinstall the old version of skp.why u made it do different? we didint need fantasy look we all loved the old version for its functions. now lots of uslesd stuff added to it. i even uninstslled new version on my pc and installed the old one.

Skype, an UI is bad when a scientist/researcher/engineer/developer can not figure out the mess that you have concocted. How do you get to settings or account to add credit? Why does your UI keep showing VERY old conversations.. and lets not get into the snapchat wanna be... PLEASE FIX IT.

Can’t make a phone call

I used to be able to use Skype credit to call abroad, cell phone or stationary number, now it won’t connect me and it’s not giving me a reason for that. How to fix that? Is there a minimum amount I need to have in order to be connected?
