Lost 2 years of progress

Sk3ptyk

I’ve been playing this game since before it was even on iOS. I’ve had two years of progress on my account, which is now completely gone. I tried logging in one day and was unable to retrieve my account. I contacted support who confirmed they were unable to recover my account. All they could offer were the gems and gold I had. So if you plan playing this game for extended amount of time, beware that your progress may be lost as any time.

Been playing since the beginning

Atomika6

Still a daily game after all this time!

Broken promises, no updates

ThePirateSheep

Used to be a great game a year or so ago. Since then, no updates. The most recent update only covered their butt with GDPR and what was supposed to be the loot box rates, but that is broken. Updates make the game unplayable for some users, and they update right before weekly events, rendering them useless if your city has other version players in it Stay away

Requires a delicate balance

Malawar

I had a blast for the first few days of playing this game. But despite its simple appearances it feels like it’s getting fairly complicated. There is a delicate balance that has to be kept between your heroes levels, workers levels, crafting table levels, and building levels. If the heroes outlevel the items you can create, the items you equip them with will break far too often and you’ll spend all your time and resources crafting gear replacements. If your shop and production levels faster than your heroes, they won’t want to buy the expensive stuff. If you don’t level your resource buildings, you’ll hit a wall around level 10 items when you suddenly need new types of each kind of resource. Level your city buildings too fast, and they become too expensive to activate boosts on. Such a delicate balance! The good: Very engaging. You can spend as much or as little time as you want without having to pay. You can share the same city with others and work together, without impacting each other’s store or heroes. The coop aspect is fantastic. The bad: Your heroes have to quest to get resources to craft. But during the quest their items can (and often do) break. This item breakage really burdens the game. There’s nothing worse than spending a lot of time crafting a flawless or epic piece of gear that has a 0.5% chance to break, only to have it break the first quest you send your hero out on. Most of my heroes have 3% chance each to break or less, yet I have items break on at least half of the quests. All of that being said, if you’re patient and figure out a good balance, the game is quite a bit of fun. I’m still playing it despite the complaints above.

Don’t waste your money

Qappamad

I plated this game 3 years before a bug in their update knocked me out of my city Even though i had paid cloudcade a lot of money they refused to put me back in my city or even help me get in touch with the old city. So i lost my friends id made and their social bolt-on is so braindead theres no way to find any player without the city. Im furious with Cloudcade. A lousy social system is worse than no social system at all. And their support is completely dismissive to a paying customer. Skip Cloudcade

Fun game to keep you busy

IsBroken

I have played for 3 weeks straight now and still enjoyable. Always something to do if you plan well while constantly progressing. Would get 5 stars but having troubles connecting on iPhone after 1.1.35 update.

Fun game but unreliable servers

Jessic415

I really enjoy the combination of gameplay elements in this game. It's fun exploring the crafting trees and sending heroes off to combat. The only problem is it's only useable 5 days out of the week. Every weekly maintenance since I started playing shuts me out for a day or more, I have to reinstall at the risk of losing progress. Any combo you build up towards blueprints is lost, the 24 hour limit quests expires... it diminishes any reward for playing the rest of the week, because I know the maintenance will break my ability to play in one capacity or another, and I'll start whatever raid broke the game behind everyone else because of the downtime. It's cute and fun but I don't know why it's so unstable.

Great game, but the lag spikes hold it back

Waldo9030

Great game overall. You can play the game all the way to endgame for free, but it will take a longgg time to become competitive in cooperative city raids and PVP. The basic setup to compete with people is around $100-120 for all of the packages. You can earn in game currency through trading your time for other people’s impatience with the market, so you don’t have to spend a dime on gems if you don’t want to. City raids are my favorite part of the game! The lag spikes are the only thing that hold this game back. With as much money as people spend on this, they really should put less money toward profit and more toward improving servers and optimization. The community is fantastic if you keep looking until you find a good city to join. Edit: connectivity issues are becoming more common as this app has expanded into more countries. I haven’t been able to login in 24 hours, and it’s looking like it’s going to be another one of those “oh well, I can’t play during the Weekly raid for the entire raid” weekends.

I really do enjoy this game but..

OokamiNoSora

I really do like this game but ever since the maintenance a few days ago I have been unable to play the game. It gets about half way through the progress bar at the bottom and gets about half way then the play button appears. If you click the play button same thing happens. This is very upsetting since I just spent 55 dollars on this game like a day or two before the maintenance.

Poor pacing

TexasBenja

The game starts out with good pacing but slows way down as your heroes hit level 9. Gear takes too long to craft and gear with a 3% chance to break seems to break with every quest. Crafting also gets convoluted quickly. Two low level boots to make a level 9 boot plus steel plates and quest materials. This is a game of timers. I was hoping for some jrpg style combat with the quests at least while waiting on crafting, a la Adventure Bar Story but no such luck. Go play with you stopwatch app. It’s less frustrating.
