Great but not without flaws

Crosa1933

Great graphics. I appreciate that the combat is turned based like the games. Most “RPGs” on Android/IOS are not. Just wish the game didn’t push its micro transactions in my face... Also fusion is a little too restrictive. But overall a fun game.

Not too bad but ...

While better than many phone games it resorts to many of the same ethically dubious tricks as other freemium titles. As is typical with freemium games you are given daily chores to complete for rewards, you are forced to pretend a bunch of strangers are your friends for points, and you can join a team of people who miss the entire point of the team and won’t do anything to help move towards the team goals and the better units are of course only obtainable through gambling with real money. The story and characters are well written tends to feel somewhat like a brief plot summary. To combat this the game is rather grind heavy and as is typical of freemium games, there is a stamina system (to date I have yet to figure out why devs would want you to leave and potentially forget about their game perhaps it’s the same reason beers tell you to drink responsibly). The unfortunate side effect of this is it results in a fatigue of suspension of disbelief and plot points becoming fuzzy as time does it’s savage work on memory. There are worse freemium games on the market to be sure but as with fire emblem, the freemium shin megami tensi game is one of less enjoyable title in the series.

Buenísimo

Para los amantes de Persona es lo mejor

Thank you sega

Despite the classic h.u.d mess that tends to come with a jrpg that takes time and patience to learn I’m thoroughly enjoying the storylines and demons only thing I could ask for is less store notifications for special deals that are typically 70 to 80$ iv never spent that on a phone game at one time and honestly never will

Good but..

Everyone can’t be rich... your virtual currency costs way too much, and your fusion with magnetite for just a 4 star demon cost insanely too much. Don’t overcharge!

Fun and interesting.

First off, I’ll say that I’m not a fan of stories that are predictable. The story is very cliche and easy to predict. Which is not really a bad thing. I’ve cleared up to the 5th Chapter and felt no less bored with it now than at the start. That aside, I haven’t NEEDED to spend a single penny. There is/was a summon blocked behind a small transaction cost, but that’s about it. As far as I can tell, there’s no real need to buy anything. The demons are easy to obtain and so to are the currency needed for the various summons. There’s very little to complain about, it’s a decent game, the only real complaint I have is that there’re only a handful, about a dozen, chapters. But I only started about a day prior to writing this. So I haven’t seen everything. There are some complex systems when it comes to your demons. But nothing that requires you to troll forums and spreadsheets for hours at a time. And there are plenty of demons to hunt for and fuel that Pokémon Collection thirst. The AR system is kinda wonky, but after a few attempts I got used to it. I read review say that it does murder your battery charge and boy were they right. I get about a few hours outta it, but beyond that it’s the only real complaint that might matter to people. Oh, and bondage angels are a thing.

Atlas Quality

Where do I start? Um, ok. This game should not be free. Plain and simple. SMT has been a franchise that never ceased to amaze me. From story, gameplay or visuals, Atlas games have been the benchmark that I measure other titled to. RPGs in particular. Let me put this into perspective: I feel like I pirated this game. Why is it free? From a gameplay standpoint alone, it leaves Persona Q in the dust. I...well, my word carries little weight. So I can’t exactly expect to sway any dissenting opinions from others. But what my word actually is: is honest. And this is my honest opinion: SMT Dx2 is a exemplary entry into the franchise, and as always, Atlas has surpassed all of my expectations.

Is it just me?

I can’t seem to download the whole game without an error every 10 seconds. Any advice? I love this game, but need the full download.

Fun and really fair

The combat is not as in depth as a normal SMT game but it’s still really addicting and enjoyable. Since it’s free to play it has lots of the typical mechanics of one but I was genuinely shocked how fair it was and how unnecessary it felt to buy micro transactions to enjoy everything it has to offer. It is fairly grindy but with auto quests you level up quickly so it never became an issue. I always felt constantly rewarded even playing every day for a over a week. Worth a try if you like SMT or collectible monster games.

Controller Support Would be wonderful

I find this game to be more difficult without any controller support
