It’s been a long road, but SEGA has decided that price gouging the players is more important than providing a decent game. From reducing drop rates to nothing, to removing items you could purchase with free gems because it granted better odds than the lottery lootbox they have in place. Not only that rather than comply with lootbox laws it shut the game down in the countries where it needed to. And now, soon new players won’t be capable of joining the game at all. Which is fine because a new player wouldn’t want to be subjected to this overpriced , grind filled hell. For those that played it when it first started it was a fun experience, you didn’t need to pay to win. Now if you even want to remotely stand a chance, you better open up that wallet and buy a $49.99 gem pack and then pray to whatever gods you believe in that you get at least one of the absurdly broken paywall demons.

Now the servers are merging with the jp/china servers because pvp wasn’t enough of a whale hunt. Whales are like vampires right? Get bit by a whale turn into a whale? You’d think they’d know better than letting demons run companies considering the series. On the bright side the common summon rates should be back and maybe even daily rewards since it has to be consistent with the jp/china servers that its merging with. Hell maybe they’ll even do the right thing and expand the pvp rewards bracket because of the new size.

The game is fun, looks great, and can be challenging. PVP is rewarding. They always give away free stuff. The only game I login daily to play and receive the rewards. If you’re a fan of RPGs or the series itself, give this one a try!

Classic series, doesn’t pressure you with microtransactions

Very satisfying gameplay. Cute story, with likable enough characters. Feels like a full game if you’re a fan of JRPGS. Only promotes its micros once or twice a day. I’ve gotten 15 hours in and haven’t felt the need to purchase anything yet, it rewards players well. Music is wonderful, although I wish there were more battle themes, considering battles are the main form of gameplay.

So, I’ve been sort of into Persona and Shin Megami Tensei on and off over the years. Even if you’re a casual fan like me, this is a fun game. I’d recommend it even if you’re not familiar with either series, but you tend to like monster collecting/battling/leveling games. It’s turn based, and while it may seem like the game is throwing a lot at you at once in terms of tutorial, it’s not. I’m the world’s worst at not remembering instructions and I’ve not had any problems playing this. In fact, I’m having a blast. I already have a particular fusion I’m working towards. ? I’ve just made it through the end of Chapter 1, and I’m gonna go ahead and recommend it. It doesn’t seem like you need to pay to get ahead either, so that’s a bonus. Anyway, great game. 10/10.

It’s a lot like the shin megami tensie games but with a gotcha system and mobile grind. PvP is against an AI but other than it’s pretty great

SMT is Awesome RPG Game. I love it! I quit all IOS games for this game. Beautiful graphic and great story. This game has Many things to do. Plenty to play. Worth!!

I’ve been playing this game for a while now, gotten used to the mechanics. I’ve gotta day, it’s a very solid JRPG! It’s not too difficult that you can’t progress, & doesn’t force you to pay for anything. I’ve gotten hours of entertainment from this game, & as an SMT fan, I can say that this is definitely a good mobile representation of the series. I’d recommend you try it out, even if you have no prior experience to the SMT series.
