Love it....great fun!
Love ittttttttttt

Great fun...took me two days to complete!

Seems old

It says it's new, but the artwork, lack of map, and blurry images suggest that it's old. It's slow to respond at times too. I didn't like it at all.

Sea of Lies: kind of just floating at the surface

Another Eipix game in the Sea of Lies series. A reasonable time-waster but nothing jumped out at me as particularly great (I.e. story, game mechanics or goodies). You play a ship-wrecked surgeon trying to figure out the root cause of all of the ship-wrecks in the vicinity. Amazingly enough, there IS a customizable mode of play (unusual for Eipix games). Transportable map that shows active areas. Collectable ship wheels (very easy to find) in each scene, no morphing objects in the HOGs. I guess Eipix is trying to mix things up; the end result was a "meh" from me. Upcoming Games from Big Fish Games: (# stars is average review on BigFishGames.com for the PC or Mac version, date is the day the game was first released on any platform - usually PC or Mac) Midnight Calling: Jeronimo (4.1 stars, Elephant Games, Jun. '16) - coming out this week! Redemption Cemetary: at Death's Door (3.8 stars, ERS, May '16) Dead Reckoning: Broadbeach Cove (3.7 stars, Eipix, Feb. '16) Rite of Passage: Heart of the Storm (4 stars, Mad Head, Jan. '16) Yuletide Legends: the Brothers Claus (Daily Magic, Dec. '16) - briefly appeared in the App Store this past weekend and then disappeared. Absolutist: Mystery Expeditions: Prisoners of Ice (3.9 stars, Feb. '14) - not a collector's edition but has collectibles and morphing objects! Free trial so give it a whirl!

Challenging with great graphics and storyline

Good game

It's a good game, runs smoothly. I like the holiday themed games the best though!!! I own all of your games and this one is pretty good but not as good as the Christmas themed games.

Just ok

Well, Shiver Me Timbers! This One Just "Walked The Plank!"

The highlight here is that I am enjoying the refreshing change to a nautical ambiance as I explore a tropical island filled with a plethora of overgrown palm trees; debris-ridden beaches with abandoned, weather-battered ships; heavily guarded fortresses to keep plundering pirates out; underground crypts deep within the jungle, which hold the skeletal remains of ill-fated pirates and long-hidden treasures; and a giant sea creature to fend off from attack. The graphics are the typical faded and blotchy mess; on the contrary, the colors display airy and lively tinges to induce a more zestful climate. I am pleased that I can customize my settings to an impressive array of options. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The teleport map, favorably located at the bottom of the screen, indicates available actions and labels locations. The HOS are customarily varied and creative; for example, the one where you find items off of naval plans as the officer speaks. This developer institutes a trend-setting structure whereas one form will transition into another form. The puzzles are fairly simple and suit the story progression; for example, moving a nautical-themed wheel to the opposite side to open a chest. Transition is as brisk as ever; no delays. Unfortunately, touch sensitivity is awry and tedious with regards to inventory usage; I need to click on that specific "magic spot" to trigger a response to my input. The collectibles are highly conspicuous; no challenge here. Furthermore, both a journal and a "back" button are excluded; the latter is especially needed to obviate the frustration of unintended backtracking. Overall, there's nothing remarkable to grasp and "anchor" my attention, aside from the HOS. Some core features are presented, but this installment needs a little more refinement in order to be a worthy purchase.

Truthfully, EIPIX did a couple of adjustments which made me a lot happier! They actually allowed us to customize the game settings, and there were NO morphing objects in the game at all! I hate morphing objects; to me they are just a ridiculous distraction. This game was a decent length and had a bonus adventure, as do all their games. The graphics were magnificent but at times they were dark and I found it hard on my eyes. Collectibles were ship's wheels, most of which were easy to spot. Loading was instantaneous between locations and there was a marked teleport map to transport you, if so customized. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. The HO scenes had some variation and you also had the match-3 option if you didn't want to play the scene. There was a good variety of puzzles and games, and they weren't all boring rotational types this time. My issues with this game were as follows: first of all, there was no cohesive journal and I play late at night. So I sometimes have issues following the storyline. At least objectives were regularly updated. The other issue was that this game was a bit glitchy. Hard tapping was required to acquire inventory items and it was difficult to place them as well, if you didn't have the exact spot. EIPIX needs to add journals and improve their quality assurance! For those reasons I deducted a star. I enjoyed this game better than I thought I would after reading some of the reviews. Once again, many thanks to Izzyoc for keeping us updated on new games! I send you much holiday cheer, and of course the same can be said for Dracyy, KimTwilight and the rest of the DTE! Opinion, what game were you reviewing? You told us there was NO map! We cannot make mistakes like that when so many gamers count on us. No map in a game nowadays is a deal breaker! Lynxie sends ❤️?? to all!
