Waste of $20. Save your Money.

JPJohnPeterKim

Waste of $20. I thought it would be good based off of the reviews, but it’s not. Emailed support and after 4-5 days they haven’t even replied back too me. Tried accessing my Mac on my iPad while out of the house, and it didn’t even work. Save your money.

Dissapointed

This software doesn’t work at all like expected If you look at teamviewer its easy and straightforward. I tried it on linux and windows and its a big mess to deal with if you don't have a static IP. This app is only good for apple users. I want my money back.

Buggy, requires technical knowledge, secure connection does not work

wabbakin

Screens connect requires installation of 3 separate packages including third party ssh and vnc servers, during which you need to manually enable settings following their guide. Their instructions assume you have some technical knowledge, for example they tell you that the ssh service needs to be allowed through Windows firewall, but they do not specify how you would actually go about doing that. I only managed because I had prior experience doing so. Even after all that, ssh tunneling simply does not work - the screens client is able to connect, but login fails despite using the exact same username and password configured in the ssh service. Their troubleshooting guide unhelpfully mentions to use the correct username and password, with no further diagnostic steps. This was a waste of money - you are essentially paying for an ios/ipados vnc client, while on the computer side you are expected to use third party software, and left with little guidance on what to do when things do not work properly. I recommend steering clear.

Only For New iPads

hifi2020

I saw this app recommended on a YouTube video and went immediately to my iPhone to check it out. Sounded perfect so I downloaded and connected. Worked fine but iPhone screen was too small to really operate. Switched to my iPads only to find out it only works with IOS 13 and later. Both my iPads are fully functioning but are 2-3 years old (IOS 12.4.5) and cannot use this program (requires 13). Doesn’t make sense to spend the extra on updating my iPads at this point. I should have read more about this before spending the $20. Next time I’ll be more careful before purchasing.

Port mapping issues

i_Reviewer

I’ve get port mapping issues with 3 different brands of routers. Waste of money.

Nice little touches to a great app

I've been a big fan of screens for a while because it is fast, fluid, and reliable. Screens continues to be incredibly fast and fun to use. It's amazing that an indie developer has created such a full featured system complete with the screens connect service as well.

Continuously impressed and delighted

The connection information, the nice gestures, the amount of control... I am so impressed and so happy with this app. Thank you!!

Professional workhorse and nimble - 5 ⭐️ ?

Clean design, quick performing, powerful, automated and reliable. Excellent value for me. I work as much as I can from my iOS devices and need to access other computers. Far better than the lesser priced options. This app and Microsoft Remote Desktop cover all my screen sharing needs. Works well with macOS 10.15 Catalina and iOS / iPadOS 13

my favorite vmc app

I had been an original user of iTeleport (since even before the app store), but had become frustrated with how slow it was. This is where Screens really shines - it is extremely responsive and easy to use, and the attractive UI is a nice touch as well. I originally had some connectivity issues, but once i forwarded port 5900 on my router, it works flawlessly. edit 11/3/19: leaving the same rating, just updating to say i’ve run into a major bug on my 2015 ipad pro. it’s hard to describe, but the app essentially hangs up on the main screen library page. i can’t even force quit or go back to the hone screen. the only way to escape is to force reboot my ipad.
