Does not turn in store

When I’m in store the app would not turn on. I have tried to contact customer service but I get no response. I have a balance below $20 so I could not even cash out. I hope by doing a review someone can contact me

Customer service

When I started using this app it was fantastic, loved it. But now I don’t get most of rebates , I have to write customer service and they don’t even acknowledge my email. I don’t recommend this app. Waste of time

Rebate issue

Ben with SavingStar since 2014 I loved the it until recently. Ben sending emails no response not getting what is due as they promise. I spent well over 25 on the Kellogg’s deal they had. Will not issue me the 5 dollars. Won’t answer my emails. I hate to give them A bad rating but what else can I do when they do this kind of thing

Easy

I have had no problems with this APP... Just have to remember to Activate all the rebates. It's an easy way to get a little cashback. Does not have a large selection but it adds up over time.

Used to be better

When I first started using it, I loved it. It actually offered more rebates on fresh produce. One of the main reasons I got the app in the first place. Now it is only a “healthy offer of the week”. Used to be better.

IMPOSSIBLE to get a rebate!

If you’ve been “grandfathered” in from creating an account and linking your store card a long time ago, maybe you’ll like this app. However, if you’re downloading it for the first time with the hope that you can earn some rebates from your favorite stores - keep scrolling because you’ll have to fight tooth and nail for a reply from customer service. And apparently they no longer “link store accounts,” but still REQUIRE store linking to redeem a rebate. Here’s an example, say you want to redeem a $1.00 Deodorant Rebate from CVS. You select the rebate and go to redeem. A pop up that says you must first link your CVS card. So, you type in your card number and then get an error saying “cannot process linking.” So, your rebate remains in limbo until it expires leaving you unable to redeem any rebates from stores that have rewards cards. Contacted customer service and they basically said, “yeah, we don’t do linking anymore so you won’t be reimbursed.” 0 stars!

Ready to delete

Been using the app for years and it’s getting worse. I go in the store and the app won’t even open. I get home and the app still doesn’t open. I go weeks without the app working, but I also use better cash back apps so I’m just over it. I’m waiting to hit my minimum cash out so I can get my money and delete the app. There needs to be major improvements for me to consider. I do wish the offers were more tailored to the customer personal purchases.

What Happened?

The app was good. Not many options, can’t even come close to the 20$ now. Disappointing!

Can’t link loyalty anymore

Saving star used to be great until Coupons.com came along and bought the company. You can no longer link loyalty rewards meaning you can only get cashback at certain stores like Walmart. Absolutely ridiculous

Scanner

No matter what I do, I cannot get my phone to scan barcodes for the items I buy. I sure wish there was a way to manually type the barcode numbers in. Super frustrating!
