Does not retrieve previously purchased items. The end.

Love it!

Great service but you broke the app!

Lionel D

I have used the home delivery service for almost 2 years and it is great! It eliminates the need to walk around a grocery store if you have mobility issues like me. The latest version of the app is not an improvement! It no longer works in landscape on my iPad. The checkout is confusing now. I think the previous version was much better!

Is this Safeway or Raley's?

SolitaryWoman

I checked out Raley's new delivery service app & tried to use it, but being used to the simplicity & familiarity (not necessarily ease) of Safeway's I didn't have the patience to try to learn this overloaded, complicated & senseless app. I left all my choices in my cart & ran back to the security of the Safeway app. OMG! It was the Raley's app! I resigned myself to do my best to use it, but it was impossible for me to do so. I couldn't find the 'everything on the shelf' button which meant I also couldn't leave a message for my Shopper. To me these are essential features. The items were arranged in a grid rather than a list. I was so frustrated that I again walked away from my cart. I'm disabled & have no other way to get groceries except home delivery, but I just can't face getting to know & use another app after these two nerve-wracking apps. That was over a week ago & today I gathered my strength & went back to the Safeway app. I saw that they had an update. I'm hoping they've made some improvements so I can use it. Before I opened it I read the first page of the reviews & I'm not hopeful, but I'll give it a shot - I need groceries!

Very efficient way to get quick delivery service through Safeway

Enna689

I used this online service without any problems. It’s something that i have been doing for years since I first tried out the grocery delivery service online. I am very happy with it since Peapod has ceased to exist. Parking at Safeway has been a huge challenge due to tricky street configuration and unsafe driving conditions in the city due to homeless people standing in the middle of the roadway, and defiant jaywalkers including double parked vehicles.

New App version very cumbersome

Zero defects

I like Safeway and the service. However on the older version I could get my order done in two minutes. Its painfully cumbersome now.

Why Vertical??

Jenzid

Why did the app switch to vertical? If I haven't already been using the app and enjoyed the convenience while it was a "horizontal" app, then I would never even have given the "vertical" version a chance. I'll keep using it for at least the next couple grocery "trips" but I'm already looking around for a new app that supports horizontal display. Maybe I'm in the oddball group here, but whatever...

Things that need improvement

The most recent upgrade was great because now you can use Touch ID. The one before this one- when everything changed was awful. One- looking at past purchases is a hassle. You have to scroll back to the top to navigate between “last order” & “all past purchases”. Two- adding items is different & I hate it. You should be able to push a +/- button & add more or just remove something. Three- what happened to the “see other items on this shelf” option? Or, how about an option to see others from the brand?

Awesome and easy

I’ve been using this Safeway app for several years. It’s easy to use and very accurate. They always come in their delivery time and customer support is local, not out of country, and they are super nice and efficient.

Latest update is terrible.

App gets stuck loading at every point. Impossible to complete order.
