Great iPhone app

TommyNorthAL

I used the iPhone app for years, I think it is the best app and has always worked great for me. I got an Apple Watch 2-3 years ago and Runmeter did not support its heart rate sensor and had some other Watch-related issues, so I used the Workout app on the watch. I just tried Runmeter again, using the watch, and it works as fantastically as it did with the Watch as it did with iPhone before. Well integrated with Watch now, latency not bad. The best app by far, great data and integrates so well with IOS. If you want an app that works great with iPhone, Watch, or both, and ties with calendar, exports, and also a simple web page with the data, can't be beat. No ads, no junk, just what you need and so customizable. Thanks for all the continuous, long term improvements Abvio.

GPS won't track after update

Bald is Beautiful

The app has worked well in the past but I updated the app and now it won't track my runs with GPS. The timer runs but nothing else works. The app says I have full GPS coverage but it won't track. I've tried several times today.

Was a great App - Tracking no good

Tracking on the map is no longer working. If fix is not deploy soon, I might have to search for another app.

Love it

I recently had an issue with GOS tracking, contacted support and got responses quickly. It was user error on my part, but support was great for it and now it's working better than ever. Even gave me help with restarting a running plan.

Love it

Best running app out there!!!!!

Very good app

I have used both the basic send elite versions of this app since 2013 and the app was working great until a month ago. It has gone completely bonkers. Continually losing miles or adding miles. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still absolute poor quality! I have actually changed to a new app because of the extreme glitches.

Seriously the best

Mom32013

For an iPhone user there is nothing better (can't speak to Watch usage). The UI is very intuitive but also highly customizable. Lots of data if you want it, and easy to analyze your race visually or share with friends via online explorer. Distance measurement appears to be dead-on whether I compare to Google Maps or an officially-measured road race course. Uploads to Strava are seamless. Love that you can track the mileage on your shoes!

Fantastic App!!!

**Watch Update** After using for years, I’ve been forced to abandon Runmeter. Last year Apple released Apple Watch v2 which supported internal GPS. I was so excited. No more phone. But when I launch Runmeter on my watch, I am prompted to open app on my phone. I’ve written developer several times. They refuse to comment on development. So, I have been forced to leave Runmeter with my phone at home and rely on Apples run app (or unmentioned 3rd party apps). It’s been over a year and I remain disappointed. **Heart Rate Update** Updating review as I have received and used the Wahoo Blue HR heart rate monitor with Runmeter. Using Wahoo monitor was VERY easy. Nothing to do on monitor device except put on (may want to wet sensors) (wearing device turns it on). From within Runmeter: More: Settings, there is a Sensors area. Turn on Bluetooth sensors. Select Connect New Sensors. Confirm your Wahoo device. Done! All within Runmeter. Very impressive. I changed my Stopwatch settings to include both HR and Average HR on screen. Very pleased. Thank you Runmeter! I've used several iOS apps for tracking my runs. Runmeter is my favorite and has been my running companion for the last 6 months. One of my favorite things about this App is it's developers/creators. Too many apps are created and abandoned. Runmeter has been constantly updated - improving continually. I had written asking for ANT heart rate monitor support (ANT is a low voltage wireless protocol) for some the monitors on the market. They added it. When I saw the new iPhone 4S contained BlueTooth 4.0 (Smart Bluetooth), I asked them if they would support that.. they said they'd look into it. AND.. Now I see they do! I just ordered the Wahoo BlueHR heart rate monitor and look forward to running with the added information. If you have not run with a heart rate monitor before, I strongly recommend it. The lack of heart info was the only blemish on this app for me. Runmeter has many, many functions, yet remains easy to use. I love the voice announcements, it's auto-email results, and auto-add to iCal / Exchange calendar. They've done a nice job allow screen customization. I will not get into all the features; but wanted to make sure to call out my favorites. Previously, I has spent $325 for the Garmin 305 solution.. it seams stone age tech now that I've been iPhone/Runmeter bound. At $5, Runmeter was a GREAT buy.

Awful Apple Watch app

mwyner

There’s really no excuse anymore for an app like this not to have a standalone Apple Watch app (ie don’t require the phone). Company says they have no near plans to make a standalone app making this as what could be a great running app for your watch extremely useless.
