Fabulous! Simple by default, and has all what one could need.

I have been using Nike RC, Strava, RunKeeper, but like Runmeter the most. It is very intuitively set up at the beginning, and then I can configure it to my exact needs. Exporting to other platforms is a breeze. Automatic emails sent to my loved ones at the start / end of my workout are very much appreciated by those around me. The announcements are fully configurable, and are very helpful for setting up multi step workouts - like interval training or 7-Minute workout. The integration with AppleWatch is flawless.

Mediocre

Good info, but way to inconsistent. You can run the same 5 mile trail 10 times and have 10 different finish points. Freezes up more than you would expect for a pay-app.

Indisputable App

I've been using Runmeter for years and it is one of the apps I have to have on my phone. It keeps me motivated to run.

Buyer Beware APP IS DEPENDENT ON IPHONE :(

What's the point, I purchased the "Elite" version of this app, but it will not work using the GPS on the Apple Watch 2. I have no desire to carry my freaking phone when I run. Guess I should have done more research, before wasting $10. How bout a refund??

Plans for 1/2 Marathon

I think this app would be even better if there was a way to start a run from the in app calendar or training plan and then sync automatically to the training plan history. Maybe there is but I have yet to find it. Currently, I have to hit "done" for the days run and then input all the run data manually even though it is in the same app just to get the data to show up under the training plan history.

Sadly, I quit using it.....

I used this app for the last five years. Logged over 2000 miles of running. Gave it five stars once upon a time. I was really fortunate to earn a few extra nickels and buy and Apple watch, series 2. The iPhone has been getting bigger as the years have gone on and the thought of leaving the iPhone and my chest heartrate monitor in my vehicle when I went for a run was the number one reason I wanted the watch. Sadly, the best running app on the market requires that you take your phone with you to use the watch. What is the point of that???? Haven't used the app since last year. Now I use the Apple work out app. A little over simple, but I can at least track heart rate and my mileage. Why Runmeter can't at least allow imports of this data and give the analytics is beyond me.

Love it

This is an absolutely marvelous app. In addition to being multi-functional, the customer service is terrific!

Big let down

The app itself has a lot of features but I'm confused as to why they decided that the Apple Watch app needs to be tied to the phone app to be functional....

Okay...

So I'm editing my review from six years ago when I was in love with this app and waiting for multitasking and an iPhone 4! Now that I am using an iPhone 7 with my Apple Watch, I'm less impressed. My watch and phone almost always fail to talk to each other so I don't even launch the app on my watch, I use the built in Activity app instead. I have to pull out my phone to start and stop my runs. The app has also been failing quite often, too. I also wish the Runmeter made use of the heart rate monitor on the Apple Watch.

the BEST running app

Complicated but worth has all you could want in a running app. I use it to train. I run for time and it lets me know when I have to turn around (selected time half over), it lets me listen to my music, it maps my course, it has a feature to stop and start when you stop moving--red light etc., it has running plans that start off altenating running and walking, and just about anything else you could want in a running app. Need to purchase elite for all the bells and whitles. Support contact next day email.
