Needs improvement

In theory this is a great app and much better than my previous methods used, but…. Whenever I stop to take a photo the app stops working and most of the time I don’t realize until I’m way off route. Or the biggest deal when I’m running in my own city and know my way around. The other frustrating thing is that while in use you can’t view much past your current location. If I finger over in the direction of my run to see where I’m going it moves back to my current location. I use this app for my own runs but also to lead long distance walks. When someone asks me what street were looking for to make a turn I can’t see it.

Hebrew and heart rate

Chasrunrhi

Hi Craig! Love the app! Found great routes in Jerusalem! It would be great if the app would say the Hebrew roads in words like Google directions does. Right now it says “turn right at.. (silence)…” Also can you show the heart rate derived from the Apple Watch on the watch in the RunGo app or must I also run Strava to do that? Cheers Charles Pollick

Buggy

Love the app when it works but lately it crashes every time I try to save a downloaded GPX route. Can this be fixed??

Nice but

This is a great app. Except it is lacking in the privacy and security department. It'd get 5 stars from me if all the routes and groups could be made private and allowable to follower. Allow a follower to be kicked off. Lastly, in testing I could not get the voice navigation to work. The vibration alert does but direct audio left and right instructions working would be great.

Frequent glitches, missing streets

Emme219

My run club uses this for mapping routes and there is an issue almost every single week with streets being missing or incorrect, with the turn by turn directions not matching the map and other glitches while using on the route. We continue to use it because it’s really the only game in town but would gladly abandon for something better.

Export to GPX doesn’t work

Wasted my money upgrading to get the export to GOX functionality and that does not work.

Misplaced direction points

I actually really do love this app, and would give it a 5 star rating, however the glitchy part is in the creating of the routes. In the creating process the app puts in turns where they shouldn’t be and where you haven’t specified. So I have to go back over the route carefully to try to remove these extra direction points, otherwise in the playback it may tell me to make a u-turn in the middle of the road or a left only to go a few feet before it says right. It’s not so bad if you have an idea where you are going but when I’m in a place that’s not familiar it becomes frustrating. Really …who wants to be the bad navigator of the group? I have this trouble the most using my iPad, the computer works much better. Not that this a problem but more of a FYI … if you do go off course it takes about a quarter of a mile to let you know. While biking it’s not so bad but running that can be a lot. Happy trails!!!

Great app to help run in the woods

Former iClicker User

I used this to plan a run through the woods and it was great to hear about upcoming turns. I could easily gotten lost, but the app kept me on track.

Great idea, it will get better

I’m updating my review from 4 stars to 1 since you can’t do much anymore without subscribing. I’ve been a RunGo user for sometime. It has flaws, but overall I’m usually pretty happy. I dislike that it tells me to turn on S Pine instead of South Pine. I also dislike how precise you need to be in your map making. Sometimes on a corner it will mark a left then turn you around. If you don’t follow that slight left you’ll be “off route” and the watch has a hard time catching up. Most of the times I’m trying a new route in a familiar area, but if not I try really hard to study street names for this reason. Overall I am happy with the app and it features like seeing the map while on the run, but it has flaws which I’m sure will evaporate over time.
