Much improved

I paid for the yearly subscription of this app a little less than a year ago. At first, it was not very compatible with Apple or Strava, which I use regularly. I had to manually download the run data from RunGo and upload it to Strava. Now, it automatically syncs with Apple, Health, and Strava (so long as you give it permission). I run with my Apple Watch Series 6 and typically stream music from Spotify. Today I ran a little over 10 miles and the Watch was down to 10% when I finished. If you use RunGo, I recommend not streaming music using data to preserve battery life on your watch. If you need music, download it to your watch if you use one. I concur with some of the other reviews on here, you will get some odd directions to immediately turn left then right or turnaround and then turnaround again. This can be confusing if you are not at all familiar with your surroundings. This is the only negative of the app for me. If I’m familiar with my surroundings, I will use Apple activity instead so that I can stream music. Other than that, great job and thanks for making a very useful app!

Shouldn’t adding routes for everyone be free?

AdyHill

I really love this idea! I travel a lot for work, and love to explore routes in the areas that I’m traveling. Being able to see routes on the map, makes figuring out where the trails are much easier. However I have noticed that there aren’t as many routes in the system as I would have thought. Places with established trails. So I decided to add those in. And I added 4 new routes and now I have to pay to add any more the routes to the system! Seems like me adding these is contributing. I think there would be 10x as many routes in here, if adding them was free. I certainly would have added 2 more in this last week. Does anyone know if the adding limit is lifetime, or monthly, or how that works? Haven’t been able to find any clear information on it.

Fast and light

This is my go to running app. It loads quickly has a simple and clean user interface and just works. I don’t use the killer feature of this app, turn by turn directions, but it’s still a great app. Please integrate steps counting for us walkers!

Turned Pathetic

This app used to be great and reliable until about 4 weeks ago. Now you can’t create routes on laptops after making one route point after starting, and once you create a route on the app you can’t save it.

Improvement needed

I love the app when it works. I like getting notifications every 1/4 mile, but this works very intermittently.

Turtle aid!!

Slow runner and used to panic when I couldn’t see my group. Not anymore!! Absolutely love this app.

LOVE IT

Used it once and immediately bought a lifetime license. I needed an app that 1. Can record a run with my watch only, I don’t want to carry a phone. 2. Can sync with Apples built in app so my fiancée can’t beat my win streak. 3. Has a web app that allows be to plan routes on a desktop. 4. Most importantly.... looking at you Strava... I want a perpetual license, none of this subscription BS RunGo checks all my boxes. I have no complaints. Turn by turn prompts are dead on, and there’s a cool route overview screen that works surprisingly well on the watch. The only thing I’m unclear about is if the live option works on a newer watch with a SIM card. I don’t have one yet so it doesn’t matter, yet.

Great for running abroad and updates activity app

dunk456

I created a custom route before going overseas, then uploaded to the apple watch. I had no cell data service on my phone or watch while abroad so couldn't navigate with a map but it worked great, telling me when I went off the route and also tracked my extra lap. The data automatically added to the Activity app, so didn't need to run the workout app in parallel. my only gripe was the splits show in the rungo app but are not transferred to the activity app, but its still the best running app i've tried
