1980s interface...poor experience

Avoid spending the big dollars on RTI. Their user interface looks like a bad design from the 80s. If you don’t believe me simply look at the pictures they display on the App Store. I have a hard time in today’s world spending money on this product when there are far more improved user interfaces in the market. Since going with them and it’s been nothing but a hassle

I installed RTI because my friend son does smart home package but he doesn’t like anymore because RTI is not improving even their tech support does not have remote access. (DON’T WEST YOUR MONEY FOR RTI IT’S JUNK GARBAGE)

If you don’t like this app or you have problems with it, it is because you don’t know what you are doing...it works great and it is by far the most customizable system out there. You can do really nice residential and commercial interfaces that work great and are totally custom.

The interface is outdated, clunky, and poorly designed to the point where I find it unusable on anything smaller than an iPad. The app only gets updated about once every 2-3 years. Its less frustrating to turn on all the Av equipment manually versus continually restarting this dud of an app, which never seems to work when I launch it, on any device.

RTI is my favorite control system because of its advanced capability and fully customizable interface. All systems work different because of your custom integrator (RTI programmer), so if something in the app “doesn’t work” it’s not RTI or this app at fault. Once programmed correctly RTI is virtually bulletproof and is extremely reliable. RTI does however need to focus on making the app more robust and efficient for iOS and takes forever to make changes to their app behavior on iOS devices. For example Apple states “device not optimized” at initial app launch. Wish they’d update the preview to the Apex template, and have more preloaded templates for dealers. It’s the hidden secret company that could really get some more traction if they’d just get the essentials done. Remote file uploads, password protected extractable full files, more pre-made templates, etc. Still an awesome app / system overall. Don’t get trapped into the other cult style automation systems. RTI is awesome ! This is more of an RTI review, slightly more than this app instance it’s self. I don’t really care, if you’re taking the time to read reviews on this app.. you should get to read a little real world insight into RTI / RTi Panel overall.

Don’t let your entertainment company make you get this app. It’s freezes and has difficult time picking up when I push buttons on app. So I can sit for 10 seconds tapping volume up until it finally registers on tv.

Great when it works. But it gets less reliable over time. Now completely locked up and no way to fix without spending more money having “licensed” installers come fix it. Seems once you pay for the license to use app in residence would be able to uninstall and then reinstall the app on your own. But no need to password that Only the installer has.
Lacks basic smart device features

It really needs basic features like swipe, notification etc. Other than that, app has proven reliable on a large scale system, almost 95% customization and personalization when you have a really good programmer.
Only as good as who programmed it

To all the people that have an issue with this app. If it’s not configured and programmed properly it would be as useful as a Sonos app without a Sonos system. This app clearly requires professional assistance in its setup and configuration, that said it works remarkably well when it is setup properly. I have been using the RTI panel app for years with great success. Look up your local RTI dealer and get help from a professional before writing unhelpful reviews.

I’ll fill this out later in detail. But seriously, to those who can’t get this app to function, it MUST be programmed by your installer. If it doesn’t work, contact your installer. They would be glad to help, and if you can’t contact them, talk to RTI, they will point you in the direction of someone capable of completing your request.
