I used Rosetta Stone and it’s amazing because they let u pick what language then they let u pick why u r learning that language for example I’m doing it for travel it’s just so good and so helpful

Uff da

really childish

It’s so fun, I enjoy it so much! It seems really childish but what else do you expect when learning languages. I use it on my phone most times, it’s superb! The interface is extremely easy to navigate.

App usage

I love Rosetta Stone. But the app makes it difficult to learn. There are occasions that if I login to progress my learning, my progress is not saved when I later visit the app to continue. I find that many times the speech recognition does not work properly. I might say ka instead of ha and I would still get a correct answer. Sometimes it does not even recognize my voice and I have to open and close the app many times and it still doesn’t work. Update: after working with Rosetta Stone app and website on my computer I fee extremely frustrated. The method they use is very effective to help learn a different language ... BUT their programming is horrible! The website and the app are both choppy!!!! I contacted them once through the feedback ferrite as it was advised ... the lady recommended me to delete the app from my device, update my device, turn off my phone, then turn it back on, and finally download the app again. The app was worse. My computer is also updated and the website most of the times does not recognize my voice or marks something correct before I even speak ... I feel so frustrated that makes me want to stop learning a different language. Such an unpleasant experience.

Helps a little but not worth paying for

I’m using Rosetta Stone for beginner Latin American Spanish There are free apps that are programmed way better than rosettastone and more helpful. This app is super clunky and I find that I spend more time frustrated at its bugginess and it disrupts any learning I can do from it. It also just has you mostly guessing as a way to learn, and doesn’t do much to explain the whys. I do not recommend it at all, but I gave 1 star because i have learned a few things from it but ultimately I am frustrated that I spent money on this!

Terrific way to learn a language!

I’ve used a few other language apps, but this is by far the best! The repetition is very good, which is needed, and never boring. I like not having to press a button while I speak for voice recognition. Somehow, I feel like I’m making faster progress in learning the language by their methods.

Good while it lasts (Swedish)

I used Rosetta Stone to learn Swedish. Signed up for a year but after 6-months there were no more lessons. Rosetta Stone only has beginner level Swedish so do not sign up for a long-term plan if this is your language goal. . I am now trying Babble to obtain a higher-level in Swedish language proficiency. .

Pronunciation Exercises Need A LOT of work

Da Bomb PR

While I do enjoy and learn a lot with most modules, the pronunciation module needs a lot of work. I find myself almost screaming at the iPad the sounds it wants me to repeat. I even asked someone who speaks the native language to do the exercise and the app does not recognize it. It needs a lot of improvements.

Buggy app, but mostly works

I’ve come across a few activities that simply don’t work. The interface is pretty confusing, but if you try not to understand it, you can learn despite it. Not as impressed as I had hoped to be.
