What’s next

Not certain what is next after this 7 day trial, but I can say that so far I am impressed. Got right into the language and giving direction on punctuation

Best language app out there!

emanoemi

I’ve tried other apps out there but always come back to Rosetta Stone. It is super efficient as you learn on your own pace and what you will like to work on when learning a new language. Makes the whole experience exciting every time I log in!! 1000% worth it ALL!

Subscription price

Maybe I missed it but when I was reading the details of this app no where did it list the actual cost of the subscription. I first had to download the app, enter my email address, establish a password before could receive the details. I feel I gave a lot of personal information just to get basic information.

Charges twice?!

AFROBLACK

I didn’t like this app.It uses pics instead of words. I paid for a lifetime subscription for $211.00 and the developers try to charge me again for an annual subscription for $106.00? I can’t recommend this app. Trying to get a refund.

Not a leader any more.

Dime

Many years ago when I tried RS it was the best of the breed. Now it is very mediocre. The reason why I gave up on it and asked for a refund is that it is not possible to disable sounds when you select a right answer and delay between the screens. These things seem to be small but they make learning really painful. At least for me.

no one month subscription

dontdowloadthisss

i only wanna pay for a one month subscription but there isn’t that option. it’d be a way much better app if you could do a one month subscription.

I love it!

The combination of reading, hearing and speaking is fantastic! I absolutely love this. It’s amazingly fun. The pictures are interesting too and add a visual element. This makes leaning a language into an exciting game. I’m hooked.

Great Learning Tool

WillStick

The Rosetta Stone app is great. It's so easy to learn as the lessons build upon themselves. The photos should be enlarged since people are in mobile devices. But maybe, most can see them. I wear glasses. Overall, wonderful learning tool.

a review of the free program

Didi Miller02

Last year around the time of the onset of Corona Rosetta Stone released a 30 minute, 5 days a week, six-week long free program for about a dozen languages to be learned using the mobile app. I have a couple of minor grievances about it (like some small design errors and the fact that it’s limited to mobile), but for the most part the fact that it’s free trivializes all of them. The app is an incredible language program. Rosetta Stone’s reputation is not misplaced. For a free program there is a ton of space for personalization, and the program itself gives off a very psychologically well thought out feel as you go through it. It’s exactly the type of design that makes you feel like it’s working on you subconsciously through heavy repetition, meticulous pronunciation, and strict grading on your own pronunciation, to the point where even an eccentric accent will register as a verbal shortcoming, forcing you to tweak your pronunciation into the true sounds of the words and sentences. I haven’t spent anywhere near as much time with the app as I would have liked, but so far I am very impressed and excited to continue.

Not sure how people learn this way

Simplywine68

I’m learning Italian for my trip to Italy next year and plus my family is Italian and most of them speak the language. I started off by using a translator app and I was doing great with it but then I thought I should learn the language properly. I’m on my 3rd day with Rosetta Stone and my issue is, this app doesn’t tell you in English what any of the words actually mean, it just shows you pictures. And while it’s helpful for learning the names of the objects in the pictures, it’s not helpful when trying to learn the phrases that surround that pictured object which is what I was looking to learn. I’ve had to use my translator to figure out what the phrases were. Good thing I only purchase 3 months, I need to look for another tool, this tool is extremely frustrating. Quitting Rosetta Stone once my subscription expires.
