English reporter’s sing song voice drives me mad

There are a few stories that are narrated by a female English (British) reporter, and her singsong voice drives me completely insane. It goes up-and-down, then up-and-down, then up-and-down and I’m sure that she thinks it’s some kind of signature style that makes her special but in fact it’s just insanely annoying. Reuters, PLEASE use someone else. Thank you.

App is broken for me with the subtitle problem

I have the exact same experience as Ripfang, and it just happened now, even though the developer had responded that it was fixed. :-( Loved it up until about a week ago.

Very good journalism, way too many commercials

The journalism you get through this portal is pretty much first rate. Only the BBC and NPR are superior. And the relatively short and concise video reports are a great format which those other apps I mentioned don’t really have. I read the BBC reports, and listen to the NPR ones. But I don’t use the Reuters app very often because the video commercials interspersed between almost every single news report are just oppressively burdensome. You better have an unlimited data plan to use this app and you better have a high tolerance for watching the same commercials over and over again. This app started out having way too many commercials then they went to a more reasonable amount but recently they went back to putting too many in. Also, the scrub bar can use some work. It is difficult to go back a few seconds if you miss something. They should add a 5 or 10 second rewind/fwd button.

App no longer functions after recent update, freezes constantly. Used to love using the app now it is not worth having.

Unstable App

The app doesn’t seem to work properly anymore. The video feed continues on without sound. When you click a story you get a previous story. This was my favorite app.

Ads, Ads, Ads

Used to be good, now the greed took over. I have to sit through 30 seconds ads every other news segments making it unwatchable when you’re on a time crush.. Deleting it today..

Reuters reports on the news that all the other major news outlets cover, but they do it with a twist to get the the question that you wanted answered but none of the"BIG" ones would bother to do. On top of that, it is the human interest stories which makes it my favorite news outlet.

Great app terrible audio levels

Great app but the audio levels are all over the place so when watching on Home AV system need to be constantly adjusting the audio levels.
