Very good journalism, way too many commercials – Reuters TV: Video News Review

The journalism you get through this portal is pretty much first rate. Only the BBC and NPR are superior. And the relatively short and concise video reports are a great format which those other apps I mentioned don’t really have. I read the BBC reports, and listen to the NPR ones. But I don’t use the Reuters app very often because the video commercials interspersed between almost every single news report are just oppressively burdensome. You better have an unlimited data plan to use this app and you better have a high tolerance for watching the same commercials over and over again. This app started out having way too many commercials then they went to a more reasonable amount but recently they went back to putting too many in. Also, the scrub bar can use some work. It is difficult to go back a few seconds if you miss something. They should add a 5 or 10 second rewind/fwd button.
