Hands down - this had to be the most awkward, poorly designed restaurant app of all time! Dismantle the entire app and rebuild! Use Open Table as a design tool and fire all the current developers!!!!

I am an avid yelper and make restaurant reservations several times a week using a plethora of apps, and Resy has BY FAR the worst user experience of all. Honestly I still don’t really know how to use this app AND I DESIGN APPS AND SOFTWARE FOR A LIVING (facepalm). Pros: - Resy has some of the hottest restaurants in its roster - The app is visually pretty - I like the “alert” me if there’s a seat feature Cons: SUPER hard to navigate this app - for example, from the landing page I might type in the restaurant I’m interested in making a reservation for in the search bar, but after clicking into that restaurant it tells me there are no seats available. Great - maybe I want to change the number of people and date for the reservation. BUT HOW?? The restaurant’s page doesn’t show me options to change the date + number of seats desired. If I want to change the date / seats, I need to hit BACK, change it on the main page, and then fingers crossed the restaurant has slots. This might be a bug, but it’s a super annoying one. Plz fix

Garbage. Vastly inferior to Open Table. Well near impossible to navigate.

Won’t update my location. It defaults to LA for every search. Also why does it take 8 steps to make a reservation?

It’s impossible to even login and it’s doesn’t recognize you when you use the app again. I gave up and deleted the app

I never write a review, but honestly using this app on mobile to search for a restaurant is the worst user interface. Half the time it never registers the new york neighbourhood I’m trying to search in, trying to scroll the restaurants you want to view in a set neighbourhood is beyond frustrating.

The user experience is so confusing. I can’t easily change location, it’s hard to find where to book. How does a company this size not have a better app?
