Irritating app

It's irritating to use this app . Easier to call the restaurant

I downloaded the app to my iPhone. Looking for restaurants outside my location was impossible. I tried to add a different location and no luck, it list top locations of which mine was not. I typed in a different location (Park City) and when I hit the search button, it listed restaurants in my area(Miami). The app is horrendous. Open table is so much more user friendly and adaptable. Don’t waste your time with Resy, use open table or call the restaurant!!!!

Every restaurant shows no reservations

Ive downloaded and re-downloaded multiple times. No matter time or city it shows no reservations at any restaurant. No idea why

App makes it impossible to search for restaurants that aren’t in one of their “popular cities”. Looks like they got bought by Amex recently so that could explain the neglect to the UX…

Just started to use Resy it user friendly but could add a benefit that Open Table uses that is adding a history for past reservation and current ones I’m holding.I make several reservation in different cities and don’t always remember when and where (old age)do this feature on Open Table works great for me .I know open table is expensive for restaurants to use high fees so I try to use Resy when possible.Would have given them 5 stars BUT

These reservations apps have you at their mercy. Tried to search restaurants for. Forthcoming vacation in a major city. Impossible.

Hopelessly broken, not trying to fix

They might have looked slick in 2015, but just try using Resy. I’m not sure that anyone who works there ever has. You will enjoy the following: Regular glitches in reservation timing (e.g., prime dinner reservations show 11am, the app won’t let you scroll right through available times) Regular glitches in other basic functionality (e.g., the “join waiting list” function is not necessarily connected to the selected restaurant so you don’t actually join their list, the “notify” button disappearing, reservations only appearing if you specifically search for the restaurant, constant map resets to your current location from any other neighborhood you search, the restaurant list getting stuck in a scroll loop where the same several restaurants reappear over and over again, phantom reservations that disappear when you try to book) Zero app development, poor functionality, and bad usability (e.g., can’t search for indoor or outdoor reservations only, can’t change a reservation at a restaurant with a cancellation fee even if an alternative time is available, can’t book a second reservation in a night (including a drinks reservation, even 6 hours before your dinner), no labels on map-based display, no ability to notify if a specific type of table appears at a time when a different table is available) Terrible customer service (e.g., responses are often several days later, the first response is always to copy and paste the basic description of the service you used, the later responses tend to be dismissive and unhelpful to the point it seems intentional) Otherwise, they’re pretty OK.

An awful, unresponsive experience

I had such high hopes for the app, considering the quality listings of restaurants! Unfortunately, the experience is not responsive AT ALL. The search bars to enter location or types of cuisine don’t load properly, the map refreshes every time you click out of a restaurant, and the on-site experience is sadly similar. I live in Dallas and every time I search or go back to look at the list of picks, the lists default to Fort Worth. For anyone who has been to or lives in the DFW, they are an HOUR apart, so it’s frustrating to have to scroll back over to Dallas every single time I click out of a restaurant. Please fix this as you expand your reach to other cities!!!

What happened to the update?

Since the update I can’t seem to edit dates or amount of people I want to search reservations for. After searching for a specific restaurant and clicking on the restaurant’s page, there’s no way for me to even see what options I am searching for. I had to use the website instead the app to make reservations due to this issue. Please fix it asap!
