As with previous strategy games from Hunted Cow, every effort has been made to capture the look and feel of the warfare methods, equipment and uniform of the day, and this title is no exception. In these battles players will also find the detailed and accurate maps, orders of battle, and named regiments from the well-loved Decision Games board game.
The hex-based game system features a large variety of infantry, cavalry and artillery units, generals and terrain types. Use your combined forces to outmaneuver, outwit or outshoot your opponent. Victory awaits you, Commander!

I love this game, but find the continuous lock ups tiring.... It will very rarely finish a round without locking up.

I really enjoy playing this game. The only thing that needs work is that some of the scenarios are nearly impossible to complete. There should be better balance, namely in the American side where it is logistically impossible to move troops forward Also there needs to be more battles/ campaign. Perhaps as DLC? Other than that it is a lot of fun and historically accurate. Thank you for bringing a HexWar game to iPhone. More please.

This is an enjoyable game that does a great job in using the historical detail to shape the experience. Would be nice if it didn't lock in the middle of turns, but figure that will be worked out one of these updates. Meanwhile, good game.
