I don’t know why this app needs your drivers licenses for a scooter, you should only need an ID to verify my identity.
Be warned that the first time you use this to scan a scooter, it will ask you to scan tour license. In other words, pull out your wallet on the street, retrieve your license, try to scan your license with your phone and hope that no one decides to mess with you while you are fumbling with your license, phone and wallet on the street. Not enabling license setup in advance is atrocious. Plus this app should accept Apple Pay. The scooter may be great, but with an app this poorly designed I may never know.
I had to change scooters multiple times because the ones I had kept stopping and would not work. Also the “no ride area” is stupid. I went to the beach and was told not to ride there by the scooter. I would give it 0 stars if I could.
So I decided to finally try out the razor after using ofo bikes for a change. I downloaded the app and went to every scooter and they were all either damaged or low battery. After going to like 20 of them I decided maybe tomorrow I’ll give it another try. I look at my bank account and I’m charged $10 from razor. I didn’t use the bike nor did I even stand on one to think I’m using it. I texted the razor support and it’s an authorization deposit and will be returned to me in a few days. Well it’s been a few days and I haven’t seen one cent of those $10. Do not use these scooters they steal your money right when you put your card info and you’ll never find one that work.
App doesn’t work. Contacted them and they told me it was my provider or my settings. Did some trouble shooting with both of those avenues and still can’t get the app to work. I’ll just use bird instead.
Scooters are great. The bigger wheels makes for a more comfortable ride. The App is really buggy especially when trying to communicate with a scooter. Another big downside is that it’s way overpriced compared to competitors in DC.
App is asking for my drivers license and credit card. Luckily I read the reviews first and saw that they charge a $10 fee right off the bat that I may not get back. I’ll stick to lyft scooters till you guys nick that.
So how come I can’t use overseas phone numbers to register? How do tourists use your service?
Here's $5 Bolt Bucks off your first ride with Bolt Scooters just use code c27pk0 after signup.
