Excitement quickly squashed!

I was excited to see another punished talents as I really enjoyed the first. I truly tried to love this but I agree with another review that the game looks and feels dated. My biggest dislike was a hos every 5 or so steps! I absolutely hate that more than anything else! If I wanted to play just ho scenes I purchase one of the thousand strictly ho games put out by every tom, dick, or Harry daily! It makes the game feel cheap and lack creativity when it's one hos after another. Some good puzzles and ok dialog I guess. Just overall not what was expected. Wish I'd have spent my money on something else. I jumped to buy this based on the name and love of the series. Not recommended

Uh oh....

Wow, disappointing. Problems with inventory items being used, also very dark scenery. The game just seems really clumsy and disjointed. Map is not much help. Wish I would have saved my money. Didn't make it 20mins. Before quitting. Will probably finish some day when I'm bored out of my mind.

This is awful from the silly tiny safe opening that never opened. Horrible I say ,maybe it is possible to fix. Otherwise save your cash.

Punished talents -punishment for my eyes

Blam game, but feels dated somehow. Every scene expands which is good because the drawing is very small and hard on the eyes. Has collectable cards which detail inventions which is interesting. Usual map, no diary, inventory bar is different but overall it's a tad hard on the eyes. Do be aware there is at least one dead body but not grossly graphic. Not sure how I feel on this one I will play more after my migraine eases up and update then. Verdict: save your money unless you like difficult gamesman Update: finished the game. While the scenes do enlarge the mini game pop ups DO NOT - as remarked upon by other players and the safe fiasco. FYI there are a couple more safes to torture you later in the game. The dial is covered by your finger as you rotate it to enter the da@@ combination and if you pick up your finger to see the number you have to start all over, and no skip is offered for the safes either! I also had to close the game and re launch quite a few times as it froze which almost never happens to me. The eye strain, tiny objects etc made playing this one more of a chore then anything.

Great game

I think this is a great game, don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. Good story, graphics, everything. Very solid!

I'll Skip The "Punish"ment! You can Steal This One!

The main attraction here are the graphics. They are visually and exceptionally stunning with skillfully polished and finely detailed, hand drawn scenes that create a realistic portrayal of the environment; presentation is superior in sharpness, crispness, and clarity. The colors are rich in texture and are embellished with prominently darker shades that overshadow the sparser, lighter ones. The storyline is recycled, as is the setting or ambiance, with the same-old "explore the creepy mansion while trying to track down a murderer as the rain is pouring down from the heavens." The custom difficulty mode is well presented and consists of various options. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. However, items are oddly placed so that they rest slightly above the bar within the scene, as does the bar lock itself, which obstructs the view of the lower part of the scene. The textual information is contained in the form of acquired reading materials, which does little to refresh my memory of story progression. You will need your magnifying glasses; this developer must think we are mice with beady eyes that can read text in font sizes of 4. The teleport map was most unusual in its layout and coherence; its color coded indications lack clarity. For example, if I were in a location, the location was green coded; however, there could be something to do there. That location would not change to a blue code until I moved away to a different location. The HOS do have some variation and interactivity; however, they are short, abrupt, and uninspiring. The puzzles are unoriginal and very short of spectacular; some test your dexterity skills. One in particular was technically cumbersome; I was finally able to get the safe dial to respond and be accurately set after some frustratingly repeated tries. There is a back button for needed convenience. There is a collectible; they blend in well into the background. They are informative, which adds more than just discovering them. I had no problems with transition; fairly smooth and quick. I did find the music to be irritating as it caused lack of concentration. Overall, the game did feel outdated; other than that one puzzle, I did not experience any glitches. Unfortunately, it was ridden with numerous user-friendly setbacks that impeded gameplay. For the reasons set forth above, I round off my rating of 2.5 stars to 2 stars.

Short game
Really? All the names taken?

Short game; odd, disjointed story. Kept thinking: is this the game or are we still getting there? Then suddenly it was over. Not the best.

This game punished and disappointed me.,sorry I paid for this. I don't review a game before I finish but this game is the worst.

I gave up in the first few minutes

This is the first game I have purchased in a long time without waiting for Dracyy's review. Lesson learned! One of the first tasks was to open a safe and I could not control the dial even with a stylus. I am impressed with those who were able to master that task. Thank you Dracyy for the prompt and reliable reviews. I always look forward to Kim Twilight's reviews as well, which is why I will heed her request to be tolerant
