To be honest, this app is not that good since you have to have the iPhone in your pocket or attached to you somehow. You should be able to enter the number of push-ups you so manually.

This really works! The first several weeks I could notice my strength and muscles growing. Then I plateaued and couldn't finish the tougher days. Turns out I had gained over 10 pounds of muscle! That extra weight made the workouts harder, but was proof I am stronger.
