Good service, app needs features

The PM service is great, and the app functional but lacking customization. The simplest thing I can suggest is to allow for font size to be increased. Depending on the item in question things are illegible- a real accessibility issue in addition to an annoyance.

The evolution and maturation of PM has been near text book and a heck of a lot of fun to watch. Still not at the development stage to cancel other email services but it’s 80% “there”. One absolute must have is the ability to save an email as pdf, to save to a cloud service (incl Proton Cloud). I’ve been a subscriber to both email and vpn. 100% recommendation!!

The app needs a lot of work. Broken notifications. Constant black screen when trying to open it the app. I’d be upset If I paid for a subscription. The app is the main reason I won’t upgrade.

I’ve been using Protonmail for a while now and I’ve got to say that I absolutely love it. They don’t fill your inbox with privacy-invasive ads and they don’t mine your personal information to sell for a profit. The issue that I have with it though is that the app itself looks a bit dated, it is definitely not as nice as their web-client. Also, the app can be a little buggy with false internet troubleshooting errors. I honestly wish I could use protonmail through an e-mail client like thunderbird but you have to pay money for that.

Don’t forget your password

Resetting your password is a nightmare. There is no one to talk to for fixing it and they don’t set you up from the beginning with a backup email.

Proton great but..

I love proton services and all that they do, especially in these days. I use other proton services and use proton mail online which is very nice. Regarding this app, it’s just OK. Not like the online service but OK. I would give proton five stars but for this particular app I’m knocking a star, I would actually knock more stars off but I realize that this mail app is in it’s just beginning form. My big issue is that I am visually impaired and it’s extremely difficult to see what’s on the screen because the Mail app uses tiny fonts. Plus it does not follow my iPads fonts settings. It’s stuck on its own tiny tiny fonts. So it makes it very difficult for people with visual issues to see. I just do not get why designers programmers default to such tiny fonts. They must be designing these apps on their phones. Plus this app seriously needs a dark mode. Hopefully all these will eventually be done and then I can rave about yet another proton app.

Keeps logging out

Do you want to keep getting logged out from your accounts every two days? Well you have found the right app. Proton team, What line of laziness is this??? Fix your app immediately, it’s ridiculous, every two days I keep getting kicked, the more accounts I sign into, the quicker I get logged out automatically, it’s soooooo frustrating to not be able to check emails on your phone, eventually enough auto logging out on the app makes it virtually unstable and unusable.
