Not as good as it used to be

The blocking feature is great. Blocks a lot of stuff. The VPN now has problems. It worked fine on my iPad for a long time, but this month it is intermittent. VPN turns on and off every few seconds, allowing many adds through that were previously stopped. Even when I open the app and enable the protection, it will still turn off and the Home Screen shows red again.

The app is good however it doesn’t keep records pf how many trackers it has blocked beyond 300k

But now it seems to block a majority of legit traffic. I’ve had to remove this from my devices.

This was a truly great app. It blocked the trackers and I ran Nord 24/7. Nobody was getting my info! Then I upgraded to an iPhone 12 and now this app uses both VPN profiles. If I connect a VPN, it disconnects this app and vice versa. I would give five stars if I could do that again.

You might want to research CANVAS FINGERPRINTING for if you block a CF cookie you might be calling more attention to yourself. Used to tell you about origin of cookies they block. There are cookies you should white list, but are they there to tell you if you should?

2019-11-27 Update: App started blocking Facebook.com on its own. No I didn’t block it manually. Yes, I am absolutely sure. Saw it was being blocked in the logs & for the Facebook.com entry in the block list, it showed a “last updated” date of “Never”. History just plain stops working. Randomly. VPN always shows as on but if it’s not collecting history — what else isn’t it doing? Turning blocking off then back on in the app fixes the issue but I don’t trust the app enough to put $ into the paid version.

Love this product and idea behind it as it allows the end user to actually see how much and who is communicating. Then being allowed to turn certain sniffs off is great! Who love to see further customizations and more detailed info on each item to be able to make better decisions on what can be shut off.

After seeing on NBC news I added FREE version to my phone and deleted after a few days. The next few months I noticed a charge to my Apple ID for $4.99..it was for the free app! Tried for three months to have it stopped and refunded. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE REFUND!

This is a great app that blocks a ton of trackers. Being able to add your own filters is also nice.
