Got screwed by Priceline for over $2891

I booked my flights almost 4 months in advance, never was alerted that my flight had changed until I took it upon myself to actually check about a month ahead of time by looking at the AmericanAirlines app. My flight schedule had totally changed. Pricelines flight specialist were difficult to work with, and after being on hold numerous times, I was actually working with someone for over an hour but then they hung up on me after being on the phone with them for an hour, finally got someone to help rearrange my flights. I thought I was happy, until on my return flight I found I owed $413 per each traveler, which I had seven travelers, which came out to be $2891 in order just to fly home. Of course no one at Priceline had a clue of how this could happen, and American Airlines of course is blaming priceline. Overall my tickets for seven people to travel came out to just over $900 apiece thanks to Priceline! I will never use them again. ?

I got a reservation January 14. My reservation was for the 19th through the 22nd I arrived at my hotel and my hotel had not heard anything from priceline.com so after three phone calls and 45 minutes I found out they had canceled my reservation but they will not refund my money and the hotel can’t do anything about it so I am waiting for the next two days to see if I can possibly get my money back through some other person at priceline if you are smart for god sake use hotel.com they have never screwed up for me hotel.com is the way to go

I have been a Priceline VIP for a couple of months now. I thought this would be a great app to use because I travel a lot. However, some of the hotels they feature discounts for shouldn’t even be put on the app. I booked a hotel in Houston for me and my son during Christmas 12/25/2021. When I got there it looked veeeeeery sketchy!!!! The rooms smelled of mold, there were stains everywhere, the rooms were not clean, there were holes under the doors, and I even thought the floors were going to collapse right from underneath me. The rooms did not look as advertised!!!!! When I asked to be switched to another room they took me to the one next door and the mirror was broken (a safety hazard to my child) and that room was also unsanitary. Since it was Christmas and I did not know this area I contacted Priceline to see if they could get me a hotel somewhere else and I was told I would have to cancel my booking, then wait 3-5 business days for my refund, and book somewhere else. I had went on my trip on a budget and having to wait 3-5 business days for a refund was not in the budget. Basically, Priceline does not check out the hotels before they are put online. Bring extra money with you because you might need it since Priceline has no idea what these hotels actually look like. Also upon leaving the hotel I found an empty cocaine bag in the parking lot. That is not the kind of place or area I want my child or me to stay in!

I need to cancel a last minute trip and couldn’t get any on the phone. They push you to the text option which is automated for the first half. After finally getting someone I was told they couldn’t even help and “escalated” my request and some one would get back to in 3-5 days. Well after the reservation. I tried 3 different occasions to try to cancel this before The trip date each time being met with “we have escalated your request and someone will get back to in 3-5 days. The trip date came and went and NOW 13 days after the 3-5 day line someone got back with me “we are not able to obtain an authorization to issue a refund. The reservation remains non-refundable” I needed to Give the 48 hours which I did and have the Priceline text messages. Since no one at customer service can do anything I was penalized. Never again will I use Priceline. Not to mention after this fiasco I could have book the hotel direct 10% cheaper. Price line is a joke and doesn’t stand behind anything. It was their own incompetence that caused me to miss the refund date. Update The developers ask for a private message with the trip details. The same details I gave them 3 times in the chat, the same details I emailed twice about. Don’t waste your time with Priceline. Most hotels will give you 10% better of the cheapest price you find. Use Priceline to find your cheapest price and then call the hotel. The hotels cancellation policies are way better anyway.

The we choose for you option says it’s a 3 star hotel but the two times I’ve done this they have been 2 star hotels or lower. Do better Priceline.

I absolutely love my Priceline app. I’ve use it for airline tickets and car rentals, and I’m always finding great deals. When I had to extend my trip because of Covid they gave me a credit that’s good for 1 year without any problems
