Oh my dear goodness this app is a lifesaver! I’m a 6th grade writer who spends most of my spare time writing. Unfortunately, I’ve been facing some writers block in my stories, I didn’t know which way to turn. My sentences were good at first, but the words began to bore me towards the end. So I frantically began to search the internet for a reliable thesaurus app. Then I found Power Thesaurus! It helped me to up my game in word choice and make my writing more verbally attractive. If you’ve read this far, you may be wondering why I don’t just rate it a five? That would be because it glitches often and has many obnoxious adds. If it weren’t for that, this app would be outstanding.

I am using this thesaurus a lot and this is the best thesaurus and super useful also it is one the user friendly apps in English language for one who wants to get more words for using more words in his speaking.
It’s not a real app

What I mean is it’s just a shell to a webpage. I have a horrible connection to the internet most times. I wanted this app for to times I’m looking for an alternate word but cannot just quickly google it.... this app cannot allow you to do that, because it requires your phone to have a connection.

There are very few ways to discover new words. Thesauri are certainly a tried and true, this thesaurus as easy-to-use as it is simply NOT UP TO PARR with what I NEEd it to be. I like to write, sometimes I am trying to remember a word but can’t quite seem to get it, my thesaurus empowers me to find a word by association. Now I’ll tell you something that was so disheartening: I still can think of the word, but it was somewhere or better yet, it was something between “creature” and “critter.” To my dismay, this thesaurus began to suggest poorly conceived phrases like “any animal” and “effin* animal.” I couldn’t believe my eyes. Now granted, the interface differentiates these suggestions using gray instead of a neat puckered blue, but I mean cmon people! Here’s the thing, I don’t mind curse words and that’s not my point: if I wanted to dumb down my language and use bland phrases I WOULDN'T be looking in a freaking thesaurus!

I love this Thesaurus, even when I have access to my browser and many other options I still have to go get my phone to use Power Thesaurus while writing. Why? Well the other options give only literal, pretty accurate, categorized synonyms. As a writer sometimes that means just a few options. So often I want an adjacent term that means something a bit different. This app gives dozens upon dozens of options for those words like “minutiae” where a regular Thesaurus gives me little. I get tons of related terms that help me find that perfect alternative. For phrases like “cheap trick” again I get tons of options like “low blow” “stunt” etc. Regular thesaurus gives me no results at all.
Why the political ads?
