Used a lot until I didn’t – Power Thesaurus Review

There are very few ways to discover new words. Thesauri are certainly a tried and true, this thesaurus as easy-to-use as it is simply NOT UP TO PARR with what I NEEd it to be. I like to write, sometimes I am trying to remember a word but can’t quite seem to get it, my thesaurus empowers me to find a word by association. Now I’ll tell you something that was so disheartening: I still can think of the word, but it was somewhere or better yet, it was something between “creature” and “critter.” To my dismay, this thesaurus began to suggest poorly conceived phrases like “any animal” and “effin* animal.” I couldn’t believe my eyes. Now granted, the interface differentiates these suggestions using gray instead of a neat puckered blue, but I mean cmon people! Here’s the thing, I don’t mind curse words and that’s not my point: if I wanted to dumb down my language and use bland phrases I WOULDN'T be looking in a freaking thesaurus!
