Really good app for Star/Planet gazing and brushing up on celestial constellations. What would be really great is incorporating active comet tracking and the space station.

This app has been around for almost 20 years albeit in different iterations & platforms. I downloaded it on my PC 15 years ago when it was available on the Windows platform. I’ve had it on my iPhone for 11 years. Kudos to Mr. Peters!!!!!

I am glad I know my coordinates at any given time because this app does not know from N. S. E. W. Could be the compass in my phone. Otherwise it is a great app.

I really enjoy having this app handy, I like taking pictures of planets and especially the moon and having this app to show me where the moon is at in the sky or when the moon will be above the horizon is very helpful I really think anyone who is interested in planets should download this app! :)

My friends and I use this app all the time for looking at stars! If light pollution wasn’t as bad we would be able to see a lot more. But at least we can see the constellations and where they are with this app!! Thank you so much creators of Planets!!!!

Planets is really straightforward and intuitive. You just point your phone to a direction and it tells you what planets and stars are, and will be in front of you. I also tried other purportedly more “sophisticated” apps but had to come back to this easy-to-use app, because that’s all I need.
