Great app. Wish they'd bring back the explore tab. I miss just scrolling through the geek category.

First, Pinterest has 72 zillion 5 star ratings--how old are those? I think those ratings should be sorted by date. And displayed that way. Pinterest, that would let people know you were listening. Which apparently you are not. Personally, I find the email that "someone" has pinned something I pinned or really likes my board.....uh, I have two comments about that: First, 97% of the time I don't pin stuff. I might browse a bit, maybe try to follow an item, and then find out it's 1) an ad, 2) the creator's site is not working, 3) the article/item has been archived & isn't available. Or, 4) read how these two people met over some blog and isn't that just so funny, but now I'm going to be transferred to that other person's site. And this someone is going to suggest that if I really want to see what I thought I wanted to see, well, would I first register with them so they can "reach out" when they've got something new to show off. I think the foregoing is called advertising. (Translation: we are wreaking advertising on ourselves)! Besides self-inflicted and business-inflicted ads, half of what I see on Pinterest is called "clutter". There are so many pictures crammed per window--if there weren't ads, especially tasteless ones, and no commercial ads for colors of the week, pricey car colors, or hand-painted carpet colors, there would still be, in my humble estimation, clutter. Because once one very creative person shows his/her work on Pinterest, the site will be overrun with copies. How much stuff has IKEA sold just so we could "antique" it. How is it that IKEA gets credit for their products but a sole artist doesn't? Creative folks do expand on others work but some do not always credit the original artist. So if I had a truly great idea, the last place I would post it would be here. What do my comments have to do with Pinterest? Well, it's this: It's THEIR job to portray their ratings honestly, alert a user if a viewer reports a site isn't working, regain control over the muddle Pinterest has made out of combining users with advertisers. Make a side bar of advertising. Make space for users work larger than postage stamps, set limits on space devoted to HOW TO REALLY CLEAN A GROSS TOILET. Limit space allotted to "Painting Tyvek" by heating it with a hair dryer until it blisters. Just how many amazing things can be made with an envelope and heat? But there are dazzling Tyvek evening gowns out there. When there's too much stuff on a single topic, it all looks alike. Then Pinterest should "curate". I mentioned there were two things that bugged me about Pinterest's email content. Not only do I seldom pin things, it creeps me out that Pinterest is tracking both someone else & me if we happen to look at the same stuff. I may tack something to a board simply as a personal reference: Never Do This! I'm not endorsing it. So unless I authorize Pinterest to promote a board, should they be doing that? I should have a choice. That's Pinterest's job too. So Pinterest & I are parting.ways. If this is the ONLY place I can see something, I shouldn't have to use an app. If I look at 20 things in 3 months, It's fair that Pinterest require using its app.

I’ve been using Pinterest for years! I’ve loved it so much and it’s been really nice to draw inspiration and ideas from it, but this new update... I hate it. I hate that there are no categories when searching anymore. It was much easier to not know exactly what I wanted to see and just click on a Category on the explore tab. I’ve definitely noticed that I’m using the app less and less, and it’s really disappointing because I love it but it’s jut not so user friendly anymore. I have other friends who have also said that they decided to give Pinterest a try and it was too confusing for them. So they decided to not go on Pinterest and deleted the app. Please put the explore tab back with the categories!

Okay why such extreme changes.. was great and gave so many ideas and direct link to shop was awesome but nothing appears anymore and you’ve lost a follower

Why did you change where you could go to see what is trending? Now my home and following are one in the same, no variety. I liked before when you were able to see trending things.

Explore button disaster

Getting rid of the explore button was the biggest mistake this app has ever made. It literally just took out 90 percent of the reason this app was better than google. If I wanted to just search something or see recommendations I’d do it there. Useless

Update: Pinterest allows you to report hate speech against “protected” groups. What is that? How about not allowing any racially insulting comments against ANYONE? I liked Pinterest when it first came out. The recent addition of being able to comment on other people's pins blows butt chunks. It invites troll commentary that is unnecessary. If I wanted everyone else's opinion on my pins I'd just post it elsewhere. Pins are a collection of ideas that appeal to a person. Who gives a crap what anyone else thinks? Sure, sharing is fine and I do like to see what else is out there... but I personally don't need ego stroking... I don't care how many other people like my pins. Recently, I ran into a guy who was making rape comments about a young lady... I tried to report it. Nope! There is now no way to report it on my phone. I went to his page and it was full of nudity and porn. Girls tied up in naked positions. I reported them all and they are STILL on there inspire of it being a clear violation of Pinterest policy.
