Dark and creepy
Opinion02122

This game is dark in every way. The artwork is in dark muted colors, giving each scene a dismal look. The story line is dark and creepy, like an episode of a show about a crazed serial killer who likes to torture his victims. The puzzles go from easy to quite difficult. I only played the free selection, but even in that limited game play, I skipped a puzzle to open a door because I found it tedious and boring. I don’t enjoy this group of games, though I have purchased one or two in the past. Because of the artwork, I feel depressed while playing them. They are just too dark for my taste.

Outstanding!!!

This game was crazy!!! I had nightmares pretty much every night because of it. The graphics were amazing, the voiceovers were believable and really, really good. The puzzles were so relevant to the story... and challenging too. The game was creepfactor 5. It has a bonus game too!!! I want more games like this Big Fish. This was worth the money that I paid for the upgrade!

Not so phantastic...

What happened????‍♀️ The opening scenes, story, graphics and interactive play just grab you, pull you right in and keep you wanting more...(NOTE: That's what all games should do)..and I was so excited-anticipating what's next....☺️ But as the game went on, the storyline, especially the HOP's/puzzles, became more and more boring and tedious. Nothing was new, interesting or exciting. Ex: The sandbox game was completely ridiculous; juvenile and annoying. ? I agree the majority of all the recently released games are getting worse, it's as if they're just adhering to timelines, without any real thought into how enjoyable the actual game IS-(questioning the credibility and skill of testers, um yeah, ouch!) as it seems like a watered down versions of previous versions. Sad. Ps- you can't rely more on mere eye candy - there's got to be consistency with intriguing challenges.....or it's not worth it. ??? Sighs in S.F.

Phantasmat: Delightfully Creepy Bordering on Disturbing!
Izzyoc

Here's another series that Eipix took over, and this time they managed to keep some of the eerie otherworldliness that was a trademark of the first few games in the series. Really really short demo but it was a buy for me. I needed to find out what the heck was going on - this is how I could tell that the story sucked me in pretty quickly. Custom mode of play, transportable map that you get soon after playing, collectible signs. Dreary color scheme that fits the atmosphere. Warning that some may find it more disturbing than merely creepy! Lynxie - with regards to your question about Elefun games, that's a tough one to answer. I actually didn't have any lag problems with their latest game (but have had huge issues with their previous games). Now this might be because I was playing on a new iPad Air2 (previously I was playing on an iPad mini 1st gen); with each subsequent generation of iPad or iPhone, the processor gets more powerful and Apple tends to add more RAM (random access memory) which is used to run the programs/apps on the device. Some apps will tend to take advantage of the better capabilities of the latest devices and thus will not run as smoothly on the older generations. Looking at the reviews for the last Elefun games, it makes me wonder how many of the people who didn't have any issues were running on newer devices? It might be worthwhile to email Elefun and gently remind them that a large percentage of their gamers are using older generation iDevices and thus unable to play their latest games - if they wish to maintain that revenue stream, they should take this into account with their iOS game releases ... :) Upcoming Games from Big Fish Games: (# stars is average review on BigFishGames.com for the PC or Mac version, date is the day the game was first released on any platform - usually PC or Mac) Endless Fables: The Minotaur's Curse (4.2 stars, Sunward Games, Mar. "Phantasmat" is "Fantastic"! I Have New "Hope"!

ATTENTION PLAYERS: "Queen's Quest 2: Stories of Forgotten Past" was just released by Artifex Mundi at a discounted price of $2.99. This plot takes horror to a new level! Get your high blood pressure ready as you venture through an exhilarating psychological thriller, which is overflowing with the spine-tingling, bloodcurdling actions that occur within the course of the storyline. You are on your way to a sports game with some family members, but the only game you play is one where you have to escape from the clutches of evil to save the terrorized townspeople from the trail of a serial killer. As a result, you, along with the other unfortunate souls whom you meet along the way, are forced to endure emotional, mental, and physical challenges that jeopardize everyone's life. The imagery is obnoxiously hideous and ghastly as if the town were obliterated by a catastrophic event. This perception is demonstrated as you pass through an abandoned, debris-ridden train station with grotesquely deformed mannequins; decrepit homes with boarded-up windows, paint-peeled walls, and mildew-infested furniture; and underground caves with skeletal remains and occult-like voodoo dolls. The graphics, from what I can tell from the darkened illustrations, seem to be mediocre in sharpness and clarity. The coloration is aesthetically blighted by an unyielding shade of blackish-gray, and this exudes penetrating feelings of foreboding and uncertainty. The music is appropriately creepy with intense climaxes during times of perturbation. The cut-scenes effectively capture the alarming moments of cliffhanger, especially when the killer appears with an axe in his hand. I really appreciate that Eipix has steadily implemented custom settings in their recent games; and they offer a generous array of options, which should suit everyone's preferences. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The teleport map enables fleeting travel to labeled locations; and in custom mode, it indicates available actions. Manual transition between scenes is smooth and brisk; no delays this time. The HOS(s), as is it common with this developer, are imaginative and clever in presentation and idea; they are composed of a satisfying medley of fashions, which should please your tastebuds. The puzzles are entertaining and diverse. Sometimes they will advance your objectives; for example, in order to open the door of the room that you are trapped in, you will complete a puzzle in which you move tokens to their slots while avoiding rotating parts. The collectibles are challenging to discover since the coloration is so dark; I came across a singular set so far. To sum it up, I am very enthralled with the storyline and the high level of chilling suspense. I feel as though I am watching a terrifying movie, and someone is out to get me. I....sorta.....like that due to my predilection toward horror-themed games. The only thing missing is a journal, but the exclusion of such does not detract from the overall positive experience. I deducted a star because of the extremely dark graphics, but I highly recommend this one!

Phantasmat Lost Hope - extremely disturbing
Dracyy

This is NOT a game I would recommend for younger players. Basically you are running from an axe carrying maniac, trying to find your brother and friends and rescuing other victims. Dark, dank, vermin infested and lots of creepy scenes. Play if you enjoy scary creepy stories but if you aren't sure then do take advantage of the demo first. It doesn't get less creepy so be warned.

???⚰️Phantasm: Fantastically Freaky!⚰️???
Moonbeamdream

Greetings, Gamers: ? Don't usually review so quickly but I've got to rave about this game. It's freaky, creepy and disturbing all in one, which is a definite buy for me. Super-short intro, but oh, the cliffhanger it leaves you with. Brilliant! Buy and play but leave the lights on. This is more Halloween-suited than Valentine's Day-oriented, lol! Until next time, fellow gamers, May the stars light your way out of the heebie-jeebies! ✨✨✨??✨✨✨??‍?✨✨✨❄✨✨✨?✨✨✨
