AWFUL Functionality for the IT

LeeBearSF

The contents seem quite. good but the IT functionality is SO bad that it creates at least as much stress as it helps. Audio meditations stop and sometimes disappear in the middle and just now the Rehab one wouldn’t even respond or start when I tried to answer it’s initial question about complications.

PeerWell App

GrayGhostHippy

great little App for me! as I just had my rotator-cuff repaired in May; this is a fun (great) App for following and tracking your rehab progress

PeerWell is great Prep!

I found the whole program helpful... especially the videos of the exercises, the guided meditations and the breathing app. It increased my confidence and encouraged a simplified experience during the whole process. I am reworking the program now in post surgery recovery! I think they could offer the program of exercises and meditations in reverse for the two weeks post procedure with great results!

Good and yet redundant.

I was first introduced to the PeerWell in 2017, in its free developmental stage, when I was looking for help before a hip replacement. It became more formalized in the middle of my hip rehab and they started charging monthly so I stopped. Came back two years later, pre-op for a partial knee replacement. Because I had positive feelings about the prehab for my hip I decided I would pay the $50/month for the program. Silly me!! It was the EXACT same info as for the hip replacement program. How can that be, they are different joints and very different procedures. Absolutely zero unique material (same as two years ago) until the rehab section where a range of motion activity is included for each day of knee rehab. Okay. That makes sense, good one. Oh and rate my pain for my physician (my surgeon does not support PeerWell)so why do I have to do that?? But the exercises in rehab are the same as prehab, the meditations are repeats, the helpful hints are the same... why am I still doing this?? Oh wait! I’m not. I’ve cancelled after four weeks of rehab. Oh!! And how do you cancel?? It’s not obvious, you have to go through technical support. There should be a simple place on the settings to cancel. I think it’s a great idea, but it needs an overhaul and that doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon. There are other apps you can use that don’t charge - MyKnee and BoneSmart to name two. Think twice before you do this if your surgeon does not participate.

What a way to start the day!

susanjomu

At first I thought this was a crazy idea! But I started doing the steps each morning, after taking my dogs for a walk and making my first cup of coffee. I sit down, close my eyes and listen. I do the exercises and then listen to the meditation. Not crazy about the voice, but do enjoy the message. Then I start my day. Those minutes are probably the only time I take fully for myself each day. The exercises help and I am calmer.

Anxiety Reduction

This is a great program for getting prepared for surgery. I did like the preop food instructions, post op exercises, and relaxation techniques.

Great

Good App, easy to do and very easy.

Can’t even get started

I downloaded the app but I can’t set it up or use it without some mysterious code that I am supposed to have. Lame, PeerWell. Very lame. There is nothing to click to request a code and I can find nothing online to tell me how to do it.

So Motivating!

I had Total Knee Replacement surgery on both my knees. The key to a successful recovery is to be able to flex and extend your knee after surgery to be able to do what you want. This app by PeerWell helps you get that knee working again. I like everything about the app, especially being able to literally measure my progress and the ten minute meditations were very helpful in aiding relaxation and sleep. I highly recommend this app if you are having TKR surgery.
