The app doesn't seem to let me watching TV from my cable subscription. It requires membership with requires a payment. This is rather greedy. Many other app, like CNN and CNBC, let me watch TV programs using my cable subscription. Even if we Ignore cable subscription, the "Public Broadcasting Service" is supposed to serve those who do not have money to pay for TV service. With the requirement of paid membership, the PBS does not serve those who do not have money. This is not public service. The name of PBS is now meaning "Premium Broadcasting Service." At times I was thinking of donating money to PBS, but I held back because I realized that my donation serves only those who are rich enough to pay for PBS membership. The donation will never benefit those poor kids. I am happy to donate to help the poor. But, what's the point to donate to help the rich?

The app often have issues playing the ads. The video will freeze but audio continues to play. Once the show starts it plays fine. I would like to pinch in on the screen similarly to the YouTube app to fill the phone screen. Notifications for my favorites shows would be nice.

Unable to activate. Logged in on web, put in code. It just sits there. A brick.

The app has basically become a paid subscription service. Anything you want to watch now requires a “Membership”. Public Broadcasting Service indeed. On top of that the new app version has a horrible user interface to boot. Thumbs down, and obviously I’m not the only one who feels this way, as evidenced by it low rating.
I hate Retail & macys
I have to give you (more) money, become a sustaining star to watch this. Useless. What are my state tax dollar paying for any way.

Repeatedly have trouble getting videos to play - they will freeze at the ad or just go blank when you hit “play”. I donated to my local pbs station in part to access content. Which I mostly can’t do reliably.

I love PBS and the entertainment they give us, so for that reason I support the programming. My only real complaint is that if I don’t finish a show and come back to it later, I have to start all over from the beginning. It would be great if this gets fixed , please.

Pretty poor app for a site with such great value. Most significant failure: if you exit the app, then go back in, even after only a few seconds, it will forget where you left off. Unacceptable
