Great content, App could be better

I wish we could control how Favorite Shows are sorted or I wish the app would sort you’re favorite shows my usage. I have about 14 favorite shows and the PBS Newshour is the one I access the most. However, Newshour is buried in the See All area of my favorites. It doesn’t feel like this app really gets to know you and what you prefer which is unfortunate and I’m readily expected of media apps.

Dumb and as useful as a brick. Launch the app and instantly get a connection error notification from there is no escape! The old version worked fairly well on my iPhone 7. Guess the time has come to cancel my monthly donations to WETA.

Last night, after spending $60 to get access to dptv passport programming, I successfully created and logged into my account. I was able to watch two programs before going to bed. This morning, however, each time I try to login all I get is an error message. I’ve tried updating the app and uninstalling/reinstalling. Neither produced any results. I am beyond frustrated.

Appreciate the app, but you’ve got to have a share button on every video, it’s really surprising that’s not an option.

Oversees support?

Watching PBS with my family was a highlight of my childhood. I was therefore very excited to discover the PBS app, especially given that I now live oversees, and any link back home is something special. Too bad things aren’t that easy....the message “This video is not available in your region” pops up whenever I try to watch something. Any chance that might change in the future?

Hmmmm... After a few years of watching OPB on the app, there are persistent or recurring issues, even though I stay current with the updates. For example, video instability on "This Old House" is chronic; the video digitizes and images stay out-of-focus. It's not pleasant. This is preceded by the program taking forever to simply open. Reading a handful of the other comments, it seems PBS/OPB, there is a problem. Or two. Additionally, design is not good technology. All the dark colors and background in the app, is just gloomy. Not a fan.

Good content, good streaming - if you can get to it. The advertising load can take over a minute. Ridiculous!

New App not work on ipad2?

so far I cannot get new app to work on ipad2. the old app was fine. It just never opens. very disappointed

Fools On Parade

Despite reading all the negative reviews I gave this app a shot because I love PBS documentaries. Did not encounter any issues the previous reviewers mentioned - they must have fixed it during recent updates. I highly recommend this app to anyone. If it makes a difference, I use an iPhone 8 on t-mobile network. Enjoy!
