Having played for about a month now, I’m lowering my rating to 4 just because it gets so old. The Mines are always around the same level and are the most interesting area that I’ve seen. Somewhat challenging to beat the gnome king there, and once you do, there’s nothing to do but descend further down the main dungeon until you die. Leveling up becomes a boring grind, so I always just go deeper... and die. Lol I know dying is an integral part of roguelike, but does it have to be because there is nothing interesting enough to keep me alive?

Anyone who wants to get into the rougelite genre or Vets wanting a roguelite experience on mobile should get this game. Jumping in, there is a ton of options for classes and races, along with the selection of a pet. From there, you can be a evil necromancer, using your money to buy karma to select boons to raise a undead army to slaughter shop owners and even some underground colonies, taming animals you find, EATING those pets, or sacrificing their corpses at a altar to achieve divine power. There is a lack of monitization and evil practices, which means you MUST get this game now.

Most awesome mobile rogue like. I'm just sad there aren't more games like this. A sci-fi themed one would be amazing. I play this while listening to podcasts. :) Every time I get a new phone (Android or iOS) this is one of the first apps I get. Tremendous replayability. I love how the dev's updates have evolved the game over time. Being able to control 2+ characters was a brilliant addition! But it's really a formidable challenge. :D GREAT WORK, DEV!!!

Really like this game. Multiple graphics options. No ads. Thanks!

This is the best roguelike on the App Store and it’s not even close. The latest update adds the option to play with multiple characters, which adds a whole new dynamic to an already rich, complex gaming experience. Oh, and it’s free— as in no in-app purchases, no ads, nothing. Are you kidding me?? Download this game already.

A Nethack derivative with full help, great graphical tileset, intuitive controls, etc., etc. One of my favorite iOS games ever. Also free for other platforms, and actively being developed.

This game is so much fun to play, and the fact that every play through is different, and every time you play it you discover some new mechanic. On top of all that, the game is FREE!!!

No accessibility testing was done especially not with VoiceOver turned on. Buttons all say button with focus on first screen. This for me is especially disappointing since I was playing nethack before Linux got created using msdos and a screen reader on a desktop computer. If any interest exists to make this one accessible I’ll leave a hint. If VoiceOver is detected the ascii game board works real good otherwise correctly labeling all of those graphics for VoiceOver will be necessary. Fortunately inethack is also available and plays in ascii mode.
